  Awful staff, confirmed reservation rate not honoured - save your time and book literally anywhere else.

  The room and property were lovely. Unfortunately, what could have otherwise been a pleasant stay was completely overshadowed by our awful experience with staff and management both in the lead up to, and during our stay. We were confirmed a discounted rate via email upon booking. Then, when I received a follow up confirmation in the week before our stay, it contained completely incorrect information - wrong name, wrong dates/duration, and wrong rate. When I brought this internal error to staff attention, I was informed of yet another staff error in the original booking, and told I would not in fact receive the discounted rate, already confirmed in writing, due to this internal error. Rather than staff or management taking responsibility for their own errors, the original confirmed rate was effectively revoked, and the confirmed reservation, which had been made in good faith, through no misrepresentations on our part, and relied upon by us for weeks following, was not honoured. The manager ignored all attempts to contact them, and staff member Kaeli was rude and condescending to both me and my sister's party who experienced the same series of events. Rather than swallow a mere $150 mistake and respect a confirmed reservation, staff chose to provide 'service' falling far short of industry standard, and in turn, have irreparably tarnished their reputation in our eyes. With the abundance of other respectable options for accommodations available in the Ucluelet area, we will never stay here again and would encourage others to save their money, time, and energy, and look literally anywhere else. Hopefully these internal issues and practices will be addressed by Water's Edge management soon.

  Serenity by the water with all the comforts of home

  Absolutely stunning views from our room and all the amenities of a great hotel with the bonus of a full kitchen; fireplace and tub on our balcony. Coffee and tea provided as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash.A very relaxing and quiet place fit for couples or families. Unique beaches to explore directly off the property. If you are as lucky as we were, the vibrant, friendly barks of sealions ensured we were awake for another wonderful day in town. We were lucky enough to see harbour seals, sealions and sea stars all from our window. Bring binoculars to see the entire harbour.We can't wait to come back.

  Dated, uncomfortable room, but in a lovely location.

  Stayed 3 nights and whilst the location is lovely (our room had a view out to the harbor) the room itself was drab, dated and in parts unclean (window frames, outdoor tub), and nothing like the images on their website. After checking in we went back to reception to ask if other more modern rooms were available, as per the website, and the receptionist (with a laugh) basically told us we shouldn't expect to get what is shown on the website! As a family we needed to use the sofa bed which was old, uncomfortable and when folded out practically touched the refrigerator, and blocked access to other chairs. The fridge buzzed and blew out hot air all night. So despite the lovely harbour side location it was the worst sleep we had on our trip around Vancouver Island.

  Pure relaxation, stunning views and wildlife galore!

  Absolute perfection! We’ve just spent two nights here in a standard two bedroom suite and it really was wonderful in every sense. We received a warm welcome at check in with lots of info about the local area. The suite was great, with two balconies (one off the living room, one off a bedroom), both with stunning views. The beds were huge and so comfortable, and the bathrooms had lovely toiletries and fluffy towels. Towels for the beach were available at reception. We were a few steps away from a lovely little beach, again, with stunning views.From our balcony we saw deer, raccoons, heron, eagles, a seal, and lots of different birds. It really was an absolute treat! I think it is probably the most relaxing place I’ve ever stayed in!
