Unjustified Damage Charge and Poor Communication

    rating15 Apr 2026

I’ve stayed in Whistler many times at different hotels and have never had an issue like this. After my stay at Blackcomb Lodge for one day, I was charged $250 CAD without any prior notice. When I called to ask for details, I was told it was for a “broken TV.” However, I never used or touched the TV, as I spent the entire day outside and only returned to the room to sleep. When I asked for clarification on what “broken” meant, I was told to call back later and the call was ended without explanation.Very disappointing experience, especially the lack of communication and transparency. I would not stay here again at all based on this experience.

Run down place in a great location

    rating07 Apr 2026

Unfortunately a bad experience. Great location, but facilities are not well kept and they run a skeleton crew. Terrible service, not clean, housekeeping only once in a 7 night stay. Would never stay there again.

    Worse hotel in Whistler

    rating21 Mar 2026

Avoid staying here at all cost. It is easily the worse hotels in Whistler that I stayed at - and I’ve stayed in hostels there! From the pile of garbage that greets you in the parking garage, to the dilapidated doors and hallways thatLead to the front desk/ the entire way in just gets worse. The front desk clerk was rude and appears as though they could care less about anything and especially you. I wrote them at check it and they have yet to respond. The room is beyond terrible and we payed for the king and double twin. It has not been upgraded since maybe the 1980s? Broken light switches, rust and mold in the bathroom, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, a tarp keeping rain out on the roof, I could go on and on. What is that smell in the hallway? To top it off - the beds have not been replaced in what I am guessing is more than ten years. There is literally a divot in the mattress where people sleep and springs to greet your back in the bottom. It is truly shocking how bad of an experience this was for an $800 per night room. I hope this review and pictures help our people in finding anywhere else to stay.

Very central; older, but well kept; great staff. Really enjoyed my stay. Looking forward to returning.

We had an excellent stay: friendly and accommodating staff; easy access; good parking; easy stroll to slopes with access to both Blackcomb and Whistler lifts; in the middle of all amenities. Great value. Looking forward to returning. Thank you for a great stay.

    The negative reviews were right…

    rating10 Mar 2026

I very rarely post reviews, especially negative ones, but I felt a responsibility to other guests to post this. While the hotel itself is nice and in a great location, the services and staff were another thing. We stayed here for 5 nights but did not have access to hot water for 4 days/nights. Imagine going to a ski town, skiing all day in the cold, and then coming back to no hot water every day. As a workaround, the hotel said that we could shower at Hilton’s spa shower, however, that requires us to walk back with wet hair in the freezing cold. Additionally, there was one women’s shower for ALL blackcomb hotel guests to use, along with Hilton spa goers. The night before checking out, I spoke with the front desk saying I wanted to talk with the manager to discuss some kind of reimbursement for not having hot water (arguably, a basic service you want when booking a hotel!) and they said that the supervisor would be there in the morning to discuss; this was the beginning of blackcomb staff hiding from us anytime we called. We proceeded to call multiple times throughout the next week, and every time, staff would say Benny (the manager) was stuck in a meeting or unavailable or was working with guests, but that he would call me back. In the beginning, staff tried to argue saying that access to the single Hilton spa shower was our reimbursement and that we were lucky we got to use it. Guess it’s everyone’s dream to book one hotel and then shower at another hotel while getting yelled at that my 5 minute shower was too long. It’s been a few weeks and we haven’t heard from blackcomb (and don’t expect to), so we are currently in the process of working with Amex (which we booked through) to get this hotel removed from their travel site.I don’t anticipate any kind of response but Benny, if you’re out there, hopefully you’re not stuck in a 10 day non stop meeting and can find some time to call me back.
