    Horrible experience, my son accidentally left his shaving kit in the room upon check out. I called twice and was told both times there was nothing, I went back in person on my following trip to talk directly with the management of house keeping explaining there was no way it was not left in the room. He came with the shaving kit with the two most valuable items (cologne both each valued over $200 and bottle) missing from the kit. The shaving kit still smelled like the cologne and they informed me there was no compensation available. Very unprofessional service. Least they could have offered was a complimentary two night stay for the stolen items. I will NEVER stay here again based on my experiences.

    The hotel has all the usual amenities, it’s clean and comfortable and well located. The rooms are comfortable and room features are quite nice. The lounge and restaurant and lovely - food and service quite good and not expensive.

    Nice hotel and very easy transfer to/from the airport. A close walk to downtown Yellowknife. The apartment suites have a lot of little touches that make for a more comfortable stay (laundry, kitchen, wc).

    Brief stay while in Yellowknife for tour with Northern Lights Tours

    In general, the hotel was not very clean. The carpets in the public areas were in desperate need of vacuuming.We had a broken mirror in our bedroom and one of the radiators was pulling away from the wall. We reported this upon arrival as we did not want to risk being charged for having caused those "damages".Our accommodations were spacious...we had an executive suite with a balcony and a full kitchen.On another positive note, the manager of the hotel and the dining room staff were very accommodating. When we arrived at the hotel late afternoon, the Quarry was between lunch and dinner service. We explained that we needed to eat and be finished in time to meet a representative from our tour company at 5 p.m. They opened the lounge half an hour earlier so we could order our meals and they would be ready in tie for us to eat and be finished by 5 p.m. We appreciated that kindness.Upon checkout, my cousin noticed that her credit card which had been used for the "deposit" had been charged three times (once for each of the nights of our stay) and the amounts differed from what she had been told at check-in. As soon as she reported this to the hotel, they explained it had been an error and those bills should have been charged to our tour operator. They refunded the money promptly to her credit card.The people at the Reception were courteous and helpful and friendly.

    A bit far from downtown

    Located a bit off the city centre, about 8 minutes walk which is challenging under -40 Celsius. Uber does not exist here, some taxi stands in the downtown area. Calling taxi may wait for more than 10 minutes at the busy time.The reception area is pretty nice with high ceiling, with 2 elevators behind. There is a reasonably priced restaurant and a bar.Normal rooms are closer to the elevators, but suites are pretty far away. There are coin washing machines and dryers at 1 end, but suites have their own kitchen (with utensils), washing machine (with washing powder) and dryer.My suite had a lot of ceiling lighting, but the whole suite has only 2 USBs in the bedroom. Suite is spacious with a king bed inside the bedroom and a sofa bed outside. The maximum temperature inside the room is capped at 21.5 Celsius. Furnitures are updated but looks a bit cheap.No online check out and the waiting line can be long (see photo).
