Location

This hotel enjoys a privileged location in the centre of Puerto Montt. Guests will find the nearest shops, restaurants and bars just a couple of metres away and it is 50 m from the sea. It is near the cathedral, Plaza de Armas, banks and public institutions as well as Isla Tenglo and Algelmo. It lies only 15 minutes from the airport.

Facility

60 rooms are located on 10 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car.     Beware! Keep your bank account safe!

    I had an early check out (5 a.m.) . I had already paid online before my check in.  There was only one guy at the front desk (who was on the phone). I asked him to open the parking lot so I could get my car out. He then makes a weird request - "Can you transfer me 300 Chilean pesos from your bank account?".  He then pulls out a wad of cash and says he has the money to give me back, but I just need to transfer 300 pesos from the bank account. With emphasis on my bank account. Bear in mind 300 pesos is like 30 cents only. He says it is for keeping the "hotel secured." That made no sense.I realized this guy was blatantly trying to scam the hotel guests. So, I said in a loud annoyed tone, "Absolutely not. I'm not transferring anything. ". He said something to his partner on the phone and hung up. And quickly walked out with me to open the parking lot. He didn't utter a word after that.I wasn't sure if this guy was a lone wolf or connected. So, I waited until I'm back home before writing this review.  If the management is reading this, it was the person at the front desk on Nov24th early morning (5am). He was a little on the larger side. I couldn't read his name tag. On side note, the hotel itself was okay - small rooms but decent for a 1 night stay. There is off-campus parking.

    Buyer beware,i booked a room at don luis but had to cancell.I gave enough notice of my cancellations but did not sem to matter as i was charged for the romm regardless.Now i am very concerned they will keep charging my card in the future.I have been warned of high criminal activety in chile and now i have experianced it without even entering the country

    Outstanding hotel & restaurant

    We found this hotel outstanding - great central location, easy walk to many attractions. The staff made us feel very welcome (even though we spoke no Spanish) they helped us with everything and nothing was a effort - thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable & relaxing.The real surprise was the restaurant on the 2nd level - absolutely outstanding- not what we were expecting - the quality of the meal and the presentation is World class - something we have not seen for years in our travels.Even if you’re not staying in the hotel - do visit this restaurant, we cannot recommend this highly enough. Local fresh food beautifully presented, lovely tastes & flavours.Thanks for everything

    Located in the downtown center makes it a great spot for walking to the mall, shops and malecon. Staff was friendly. Room was a bit small. Bed super comfy and the wifi worked well. Bathroom small and the shower was lukewarm. Window opened in the room which was good as the room can get stuffy and there is no a/c or ceiling fan. Hotel does not supply small fans. Breakfast has a great variety of fruits, bread, yogurt and there were some scrambled eggs. Hotel does have a gym with the bare essentials to ensure a workout.

    Very good facilities, perfect location for visiting Puerto Montt, staff is wonderful, they helped me with all my things. The only detail is that the room didn’t had temperature control, so the night was kinda cold.
