Very Nice Boutique Hotel with very good service

    rating23 Mar 2025

I did not give this 5 stars as I feel there are a few things that need improvement. Don't get me wrong, I highly recommend staying here, if you are looking for a boutique hotel and not one of the fancy high rise chains. One thing that was 5 star …was the staff. Terrific people. Everyone we met, whether the front desk ,late night person, spa attendant, housekeeping, everyone was very friendly and helpful. And the front desk person was very patient with all my questions. We had one of their suites, which was nice and reasonably large and well appointed with couches, eating table, desk and large bed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of space. It had a bathtub shower combination. The room has windows on two of the sides so you get a good view from there…but the hot sun would come in and heat the place faster than the AC could cool it. As the AC wont stay on without your key in the slot near the door, we kept one there while we were gone as otherwise it would take hours to cool the place down. We also had to make sure the drapes were drawn when we left in the AM as the sun would be really hot in the afternoon. The AC is a single wall unit, which does a good job cooling the main area of the living room and bedroom, but as you walk to the desk area or bathroom, the area can be a bit hot. So they really need either a second AC unit, or better yet a central air unit. The main issue we had is the layout of the room, likely due to building structural elements and the building being not that big, was a bit of a maze to get around (could not even move my roller bag around without picking it up to turn sideways.) This layout was part of the issues with the AC. But also, at night, I had to leave a light on near the bathroom otherwise I would likely bump into the walls trying to go through the maze to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Without the pillars, which they cannot do anything about, you would have a terrific large open suite (not that it was not good ,but …) A similar issue with the breakfast buffet. Due to the building structure and where they have the buffet, its spread out over several rooms and nooks and crannies. That, I believe, also limited the extent of the breakfast selection. Wifi worked well (they had a repeater in the room. smart)Plenty of plug outlets where you need them given all the gadgets we have these days. The breakfast buffet was ok, but not as extensive as most places we stayed. While it had the usual assortment of breads, cereals, meats and cheeses, along with scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage, the assortment of pastries and other times was a bit lean. Part of the issue is, they don’t have a lot of space as it is and have to spread things out over several rooms. The location is pretty good as you are in a residential area, seemed very safe, and you are but a 5 min walk to the big Costanera Center mall, where there are tons of shops and restaurants, including a Jumbo super market. Many other restaurants in that area within a 5-10 min from the mall. One other issue was signage and finding the hotel. We arrived late, around 11pm. Since they had the gates around the hotel closed, and the hotel looked like a condo building, and at night its very hard to see the signage for the hotel (which is high up on a wall facing down the street and you cannot see it when in front of the hotel without looking up), neither we nor our taxi driver thought we had the right place. Once we got out of the taxi and buzzed the gate and came in i looked around for a sign and saw it high up on the side of the building. They really need to put a sign in front so its clear that it’s the hotel. (if they had one, I never saw it)The website photos are a fair indication of the rooms and hotel (buffet picture seemed a bit better than it was). The price is the key for what you are getting in comparison to staying at one of the bigger fancy hotels. For us, the smaller boutique hotel and price fit our style.Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.

    Great hotel with wonderful staff

    rating02 Mar 2025

Wonderful hotel with great staff. Alvaro in reception was particularly helpful. The hotel is great with good facilities. The rooftop pool is small but perfectly formed. The lovely lady who looks after guests at the pool is also great. The breakfast was very good although for me the coffee was too weak. The rooms are spacious and I'd recommend the junior suits. We had room 402 and it was great. The staff were all really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The location is handy for sky costanera and everything around it and there are 2 metro stations in walking distance.

    Lovely place

Right next to the “financial district” , nice breakfast, super nice rooms with lovely bathroom (we stayed in room 211), and very helpful staff. The hotel even looked after our main luggage for 4 days while we popped over to Easter Island. Really nice!

    Definitely one to book.

This hotel is a real gem. Lots of local amenities and short walk to the Japanese Garden in the park. Staff are first class and were very knowledgeable , helpful and spoke English. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the quiet dining room thanks to the staff who could understand my dietary restrictions. Next time we are in this city, this will be our first choice.

    Decent hotel but watch out!!

    rating09 Nov 2019

I stayed for a week. Friendly staff, decent breakfast, outdoor pool, in a quiet safe location but close to shopping and metro and everything. I would have given a 5 star rating until the very end at checkout. I had prepaid the room and hotel taxes, so I only had to pay for incidentals. They showed me my charges in USD and suggested that if I pay in USD, i would avoid paying taxes. They knew I was in a hurry and showed me the breakdown of costs in USD only, never showing me the supposed taxes I saved nor the USD conversation rate they used. Just charged me then printed out the official receipts and put it in an envelope. Later, I saw they used a conversation rate of 600clp to the dollar, when the official rate is 748!! That’s 20% commission without telling me beforehand. Left a very bad taste in my mouth after a great trip. Such a shame.
