    Seriously helpful staff

    rating30 Apr 2026

My friend and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago. The hotel is perfectly okay, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable and well situated. But…the staff were fantastic. I became very ill - they organised a taxi to A & E. Housekeeping were fantastic, changing my bed, giving me extra towels, double-lining a bin so I could be sick in it. Two days later reception called for emergency medics who turned up looking like pilots from Top Gun. Being ill so far from home was a horrible experience, but the attitude and helpfulness of the staff at the Panamericano was exemplary.

great location but very average hotel

    rating01 Apr 2026

We spent 2 nites in this hotel which was long enough; the only saving feature is the location as it’s really well located and pretty much in the centre. Many things are very close and in walking distance. There is a good supermarket within a few minutes walk, the main shopping mall with plenty of coffee and food option are close, but we found the food quality only average so be picky. And after about 8pm its completely dead. However the rest is not great; the room was spacious and comfortable bed but the noise from either side and above was really bad. We had a couple of loud Americans on one side and sounded like a woman dancing in high heels and it went on for hours. There was a strip bar or something on the ground floor in the shops near the hotel and it got loud. all night people coming and going with chatter in the hallways and doors banging. So if your a light sleeper bring your earbuds.Breakfast was average but enough to fill up. We decided to eat in their restaurant on our last night .. BIG mistake. Who can stuff up a hamburger and a caesar salad, worst Ive ever had, they should sack the cook.

    Great location and wonderful staff

You can do a walking city tour, with no need for private guide. Many historical /touristic places are very near by: Palacio de la Moneda, Cerro Santa Lucia, Plaza del Armas, Santiago Cathedral. It is also close to Moneda metro station if you want to go further. The staff is also very polite and helpful, they really care about guests and if you have any doubts or need any help, they are ready to assist. I strongly recommed.

    Awesome stay

Wonderful hotel! Very tasty breakfast. All staff are awesome, but we want to express our appreciation especially to Miguel. Miguel’s English is excellent and he helped many times to resolve some language barriers and important questions about our travel.

    OK for a short stay

    rating05 Feb 2023

I stayed 3 nights in the so called executive single room. My room was of a decent size, with all the appropriate amenities including a chair, a table, etc. There was also a small balcony, which was a nice surprise. The balcony was overlooking the street, which ended to be relatively quiet (Saturday and Sunday felt pretty dead in this area though). The bathroom was also spacious, everything worked properly, with enough hot water and a proper water pressure. The room looked clean to me and there was no issues with housekeeping. I could tell that the room furnishings were worn out though, like old furniture, etc. It didn’t bother me much because of my short stay, but it was quite apparent nonetheless. A/C also looked old and it was a bit noisy. The buffet breakfast was adequate. It didn’t have a plenty of choices but it was OK for me.In terms of location, as you probably already know, it is very central. I walked to the hotel back from San Cristobal's Funicular Station (taking Uber there) and also walked everywhere. If you don’t like walking, then Uber is readily available in the area. Also, as I said earlier, keep in mind that this area is pretty dead on weekends. On weekdays the area comes to life and there are many restaurants next to the hotel that offer lunch menus. In terms of service I can’t say much because I barely asked for anything. But it seemed OK.Wi-Fi in my room was non-existing. This was a bad experience. But I suspect it was because of my room’s location. Otherwise Wi-Fi worked OK on the floor or in other places. The hotel also charges for everything, even for a bottled water in your room that is there on your arrival. All in all, not a bad experience. I am giving 4 stars but it is more like 3.5 stars review. I would recommend it for a short stay.
