Nice hotel, just a bit too isolated for us.

    rating15 May 2026

Hotel Osmine Package holiday with Jet2. We paid for private transfers, apparently you don’t need to because hotel is far out of Dubrovnik and the area has only a couple of hotels. Hotel is in such a beautiful location approx 50 mins from airport. Reception is not over large with, sofas and 2 lifts down to the next level, restaurant and beach. Welcome at hotel wasn’t the best. Took passports and said where lift was to our rooms. No information given on meal times etc. was informed all info in the folders in your room. There is a room tax €28 on departure. The hotel was very clean, very modern and fresh. Would imagine they have had a recent refurbishment. On entering the room, the view was stunning. I personally would suggest a high floor as there are lots of trees that would block some of the views (floor 7 rooms 743-739 excellent views) The area is very isolated Osmine is the only hotel in the bay. 40 -50 min walk to Slano, a small port town a few bars and souvenir shops. The walk is worth the views along the seafront starting at the hotel. Bathroom equipped with a nice size shower, hand and shower soap provided along with shower caps Bedroom was on 2 levels with a step down to a lounge area with sofa. The patio doors lead to a beautiful view of pool, beach, sea and mountains, stunning. Balcony has table and 2 chairs. Bed was really comfy, if you like a softer bed. couldn’t see any spare pillows or blankets. Had a reading light and bedside units without any drawers. Lift up lid under the room divider unit to put suitcases in. Mini fridge Plenty of shelving space in wardrobes, possibly could do with more hanging space? Blue beach towels provided in the room. Free easy to use safe.No tea or coffee facilities in room Bedding and towels were white and looked in good condition, though pillows were a bit lumpy and towels weren’t over large or over soft. Pool and beach area, pool bar served drinks most of the day and snacks at 4.30pm. The pools are very cold seawater pools, didn’t use as it was too cold. The beach was clean with small stones and larger rocks in the sea, definitely need beach shoes. Plenty of sun loungers and sun umbrellas in good condition, but no lounger cushions so they were a bit hard, would bring own beach towels to soften the hardness. On the beach there were free kayaks and pedalo boats, and free bike hire. Very nice man advised on safety. There was some activities around the pool daily. Like archery, mini football, yoga etc. There was also a children’s club, as we didn’t use can’t say much about that. Bar staff seemed happy to see you and if engaged with would chat. No cocktails available unless you buy them, no bottled water unless you buy €5. Drinks were limited to gin, whisky, vodka, brandy, local spirits. White and red wine, beer. No, Malibu, baileys etc. all given in very small glasses . Tea and coffee freely available at the bars and restaurants. Wine & beer is help yourself as well. Animation team were very friendly and worked hard to get guest involved. Restaurant, was nicely decorated like the rest of the hotel, had lovely sea views, and balcony seating area open in the summer. Each day the chef said what I could eat that was gluten free, and made a couple of nice desserts for me. I very much appreciated their advice and helpfulness. There is the usual salad bar and cold meat and fish bar. There was always a potato dish, fish and cooked meat served every night along with pasta and a specialty dish. Lunches were the same type of fayre. I felt the food was reasonably varied and nicely presented. No omelette bar, but omelettes were available prepared. Never seen so many strawberries at every meal apart from breakfast. Desserts fruit, Ice cream, cheese and cakes. There is another bar where the evening entertainment is, it also has a nice seating area outside. One night there was a very good group on, music quiz night, karaoke. it was mainly large parties of French guests when we stayed, and they were quite involved in the evening entertainment. Bus to Dubrovnik, no 12 from Slano (40 min walk) €3.20 pp each way. If you go to the port you will need another bus to take you into Dubrovnik €2.25 pp. Just cross the road and any bus heading that way will take you into the city, if in doubt just ask. Reception have a daily bus into Dubrovnik, think it was €30 return. You can also book taxis at reception. All in all it was a nice holiday, relaxing, worth it for the cleanliness of the hotel and the views. Just a bit isolated.

    Quiet and idyllic

    rating22 Apr 2026

The hotel is situated in a beautiful and idyllic location, ideal if you prefer a quieter holiday. Slano village is an easy, flat and picturesque coastal walk where you can get a bus to Dubrovnik and Ston. Dubrovnik is lively and fun, and although the cable car and walls were pricey they were still worth doing. If you want a challenge, walk the walls at Ston. There is a private beach with crystal clear waters with plenty of activities at the poolside. There is daily yoga or Pilates run by the excellent Yanina. As it was the start of the season and a little quieter I was lucky enough to enjoy a one on one Pilates session which Yanina tailored to my abilities. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Hotel very clean and all staff super friendly. I would recommend it.

    Homework

    rating21 Apr 2026

This hotel was lovely. You need to do your homework. Yes, it's quite isolated, yes, the food is typical buffet food but the location is idyllic, the staff are very helpful (especially Borche in the restaurant) and the rooms are clean and spacious. They have bikes for hire or for free if you don't fancy the flat walk into Slano and pedalos and canoes are free for an hour. There is a bus service to Dubrovnik and various trips from the hotel.

    Good Choice

    rating25 Oct 2025

I will say that before my visit, I had been concerned about the number of poor reviews the hotel received, but on my arrival I was pleased to find my worries were unfounded.I was on a one week all inclusive package with Tui.I would say that the cleanliness everywhere is of the highest standard and the housekeeping team should be applauded for their hard work.My room had a sea view and balcony with bistro set - the lamp on the balcony was very powerful and enabled you to read in the dark. There were walls on either side, so you were very private. I was provided with a comfy double bed with decent linen. There was a fridge, (free) safe, TV, hairdryer and plenty of storage. There was a large shower with 2 heads - the water was always hot and with good pressure. It was very quiet when in the room. The three main meals were all buffet and the dining room had lovely views over the bay (with seating available on the balcony in fine weather). I always found a good choice of food nicely presented, and regularly refilled. There was plenty of soup, salad and deserts, plus a several main courses. The one thing I was not keen on was the cereal, but no great problem. With the all inclusive you obtained coffee, beer, wine and soft drinks from machines. I found the beer and wine fine. The waiting staff were pleasant and efficient at clearing the tables. I will say that there were quite a few unsupervised children running around, so you had to take care when back and forth to your table. I appreciate this is not the hotel's fault. There were three bars (aperitif, lounge and pool) and all had coffee machines to help yourself. I had a couple of neat brandies and found them acceptable. I wonder if the problem with some of the shorts is that the mixers are not the best quality(?).The area round the pool is lovely and their are sunbeds on two pebbly beaches. Two beach towels are provided in the room, so no need to bring your own.The entertainments team provide sports and activities during the day. At night there is a mini disco at 8.30 then entertainment of some sort at 9.00 - quizzes, karaoke, live music, folk dancing/music.All staff members were pleasant with a decent command of English. Reception offer all sorts of services and there are books/magazines left by other guests if you need reading material. The walk into town is along a coastal path which is well maintained, flat and has street lamps all the way. There are houses, holiday apartments and a couple of cafes as you walk, plus some small beaches and boats. It takes around 30 minutes to reach the Admiral Grand Hotel - around there you will find the bus stop, mini-marts, chemist and cafes. Further along there is the church, marina and museum. The service bus to Dubrovnik runs every couple of hours and costs around 7 euros. The hotel runs a shuttle (if enough passengers) for 30 euros and the boat picks up from the hotel and costs 45 euros. You do of course have the option of organised excursions which were pushed by the rep and are pricey.I very much enjoyed my stay, but as said by other reviewers, it may not be great for anyone who has problems walking, as you could be restricted to the hotel.
