    We enjoyed our shortened stay and offer the following comments based on our experiences:..Food and drinks 5 /5 no issues ..Staff 5/5 one of the best parts..Resort appearance 4/5 ..Resort interior infrastructure is 2/5 no hot water to shower once we luke warm water , ac not working as designed controls did not work, no water at all on three occasions We will return in the future understanding this issues are important to the resort management

    I've been to Cuba several times but this was absolutely the worst resort even by Cuban standards. I know this area is old but that should not be a reason for the Black mold no water then no hot water dirty moldy rooms vermin in the buffet hall. Had to send us to another room to shower which was just as disgusting as the rest. The staff at the front desk did their best and I know it's not their fault. This resort should have been shut down! Can't believe people gave it rave reviews. I did some research on this place and it was not even close to what was advertised. Sunwing you dropped the ball on this one!! Changed rooms 4 times one was as bad as the next. We suffered for 3 days until the Sunwing rep who was amazing offered to send us to somewhere else near by: which wasn't as bad, but by this time we just wanted to go home. I was ready to return this month but Sunwing, Westjet, Air Canada aren’t able to fly in, and are forced to suspend operations until at least April or probably next December.Memories Caribe is a fond memory for me, and I will cherish it until I can return. Meanwhile I pray for the health and safety of the great staff, in particular Roiland, a server in the Buffet. the maid ( Mailin?) who cleaned our room 1607 daily, the animation team for the wonderful entertainment in the Theatre, in the Piano Bar, and The Snack Bar with the best coffee in Cuba.     So, here’s the REAL DEAL about Cayo Coco. It’s the PEOPLE!! I actually feel emotional about being Canadian, because the PEOPLE are GOLD!! So HAPPY, no matter what! Their GRATITUDE, towards what LITTLE they have and what they get is phenomenal! YOU HAVE to come here just to see their BEAUTIFUL smiles, there genuine LOVE for ALL of us!!     First Vacation In Cuba

    I am so looking forward to another vacation at this resort next year. From the beginning we were welcomed and treated as family. The resort had everything I needed to enjoy a week of fun,rest and relaxation. I am a super picky eater but I found something to eat everyday and was always full. The food was amazing and fresh from the sweet bread, bananas, papaya, etc (I can't list everything) The entertainment crew and dancers Spicy Boy,YuYu, Sara, Rahim, Kevin, Nutella,Leo,Jenny and Arianna were great and became like a second family❤️ I spent many late nights out at Route 66 and the Snack Bar sometimes alone and Wilson was always keeping an eye out and making sure us girls got home safely. Much love to him he is amazing. The bartenders David and Andy served amazing drinks and ice cold beer! The beach was so beautiful I couldn't wait to get in there. I cannot express how pleased I was with the resort as it was my first to Cuba. I will definitely be returning next year!
