    I’ve been coming to Curcauo now for 6 years straight and I have to say this has been the most relaxing time here. Not to say that any of the other places weren’t but this one by far has been the best. It offers all of what we needed and some. The staff on hand were exceptional they were more then happy to assist. I will most differently be returning to stay.     Honestly a great stay but found the lack of room service kind of a bummer. My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon with a 7 day trip to Curaçao 🇨🇼 The suite we got was beautiful, the views were stunning and the daily housekeeping was such a treat (especially since it’s not standard practice at a lot of places). The only negatives I would say were the inability to order food to our room, the beach bar not having any snacks or food on offer and the loud music late at night from neighboring Mambo beach. Other than that I honestly can’t complain too much. It was a wonderful stay and we we would definitely come back in the future.     Our two reservations were originally directly above/below each other when we checked in. They gave us rooms number and beach towels but said they would contact us on WhatsApp when our rooms were available. We never heard anything. I finally sent a text to WhatsApp at 530pm, didn’t immediately receive a return text so we decided to walk to the resort. When we arrived our rooms were ready but they had changed one of our rooms so we were no longer directly together. Front desk couldn’t explain why they changed it, just showed where our original room was marked thru and we were placed in a different one. This was frustrating since we were traveling with our children, all under the age of 20 in a different country but we understood sometimes things can’t be helped. Also the 2 bedroom suite could’ve fit all of us with no trouble but we were told only 6 to that room and there were 7 of us (one only being 9 years old). So we still had to have 2 separate reservations.Soooooo this is where it gets even worse. The new room was a handicap accessible room with only a shower, no bath tub, while showering the arm rail fell across my face! Not once but twice! My nose is still bruised and swollen. I took a video of how dangerous these handrails are and how they fall by themselves. My 9 year old son was hit along his back when he showered. When my husband went to the front office for a solution they said there was nothing they could do. They found us at dinner later to let us know maintenance could come remove the handicap arms. This was helpful but all of this made us feel as if we were moved to that room because someone else didn’t want it. It felt like a dungeon with little light coming in and our view was the back side of the aquarium tanks where they keep the dolphins, which was just sad to see.We thought it would be a magical trip and maybe somewhere we would want to visit annually. Unfortunately that was not the case.The positives:Security was very nice and helpful. Olas had a great drink selection and food. Olas staff was exceptional! The beach was quiet and gorgeous. The pool bar was convenient and we loved the games left out for everyone’s enjoyment. It’s an easy walk to mambo beach.I thought there would be more activities but it was pretty quiet. At no time did we see any group activities happening. We did see a sign for chess/board games at the pool on Thursday but we weren’t available during that time. You can rent a kayak for $10. We stayed at Lions Dive the week before and they were very accommodating to keeping our kids rooms near us and communicating when our rooms were ready. All the rooms were bright, and had beautiful views.
