    Monastery Garden, hotel in Prague

    rating03 May 2026

🏨 Hotel Monastery Garden Prague – ReviewHotel Monastery Garden Prague is a charming boutique hotel that offers a peaceful and authentic stay right in the heart of Prague’s Old Town. With an overall rating of around 4.1/5 from 800+ reviews, it’s considered a solid and reliable choice for travelers. One of the hotel’s biggest strengths is its excellent location. It sits on a quiet street, yet is only a short walk from major attractions like Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. Guests frequently mention that they can explore the city entirely on foot while still enjoying a calm, relaxing environment away from the crowds. The hotel itself is set in a historic building, giving it a unique, romantic atmosphere. Many visitors describe it as “full of character,” with a cozy and slightly old-fashioned charm that makes the stay feel special and memorable. Rooms are generally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, though they are more functional than luxurious.Breakfast is another highlight. Guests consistently praise the varied buffet, which includes both hot dishes like eggs and bacon and continental options such as pastries, fruit, and cheese. Staff are also frequently described as friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming experience. However, there are a few downsides to consider. The hotel does not have an elevator, and the spiral staircases can be challenging—especially with luggage or for guests with mobility issues. Some rooms also lack air conditioning, which may make summer stays less comfortable. Additionally, while rooms are cozy, they can be small or slightly outdated compared to modern hotels.✅ ProsQuiet but central locationUnique historic charmGood breakfastFriendly staffClean, comfortable rooms❌ ConsNo elevator (stairs only)No air conditioning in some roomsRooms may feel small or basi

Beautiful accommodation in a quiet yet very central location. Staff were lovely to deal with and so helpful. Hotel and rooms spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money.

    Comfortable stay

    rating26 Mar 2026

This hotel offers and delivers everything you could need as a base for a short break in the capital. Welcome and friendliness of hotel staff was great with helpful tips and suggestions for eating out mentioned at check in. The rooms are fine nothing luxurious but comfortable bed, hot showers and maid service everyday refreshing the room. Even though it was March our room became quite warm at night and with no air con it might be an issue during hotter months but for us it was fine . Breakfast is lovely. Good coffee and a nice selection of continental plus hot breakfast. The best feature of the hotel is its position, just far enough from the beaten track to offer peace and quiet but close enough to the sites and centre of Prague for convenience. We walked everywhere and this is perfectly doable for most able bodied people . Prague is mostly flat unless you want to cross Charles Bridge and walk up to the castle. Tours we took in that we’d recommend are , guided tour of the castle that included 1 hour river cruise plus 2.5 hr walking tour of the city. Both excellent guides, very knowledgable and enthusiastic . Our experience of local restaurants was fabulous.

Lovely hotel in a great area.

This is a really nice hotel in a lovely, quiet part of the Old Town. It's a perfect base to explore from. Some great restaurants and bars sit very close (the Orange Bar is recommended). Our room was small but very comfortable and made up every day. A little bottle of Prosecco was waiting on our arrival, which was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again. Don't forget that you will be subject to the city tax when you leave ( about 2 euros per person per day ).

    Wonderful - Highly Recommended.

It's difficult to imagine a better place to stay in Prague. Room and hotel spotlessly clean, hotel staff friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast had everything - cooked and cold meats, fresh fruit, cereal and yogurts etc. It didn't appear to be busy (March) but it was very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. They even offered and provided a packed lunch on our last day because we had to leave before breakfast started. If we go back to Prague, we would stay here again.
