    Adults Only at Lopesan doesn’t mean Adults Only!

    We booked the Adults Only at Lopesan. We agree with others that this is not an Adults Only. When we arrived for check-in at the Adults Only Reception there was a family checking in as well. 2 Adults and 2 children. When I inquired about this they said the parents had booked the Adult Only section? I asked what was the benefit of paying extra for Adults Only and they said the Adults Only Pool and the area on the beach marked Adults Only. The problem was any adult could use the area and often families sat in there and resort fellows at the beach did nothing to stop them. Because of this those who paid extra had to get up very early in order to get a lounger in the Adults Only section. The other issue we had is they only allow guests one bath towel per day for each guest. This was a bit of a problem for us as we shower in the morning and again after coming up from the beach. This was a problem for us as the towel never fully dried when you wanted to shower again. Things are always damp.On the plus side this was our second time at this resort. It is vey big however is very nice. We had no problem with reservations at the à la cartes and the food in the buffets was plentiful and lots of variety.It was just disappointing Adults Only doesn’t mean Adults Only.

    This Resort is absolutely beautiful!Everything is just top of the line , pristine clean.-Food -entertainment -Service -Location-Rooms -Drinks -Beautiful decorated Restaurants Stay at Lopesan Costa Bávaro and you will not be disappointed !

    First of all let me say this ISNT an adults only hotel at all, you would see kids everywhere, this is just false advertising. We went to the Asador restaurant and it was a total disappointment, the reservation was at 8:30, we ended up having dinner at 10, and the food wasn't good. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experiences don't think i'll be going back.

    Let me start by saying this is NOT AN ADULTS-ONLY CLUB at Lopesan. Even though it's advertised this way. There are definitely kids in the Adults area.I’m a travel agent who recently brought a group of 12 clients to Lopesan Adults Only Resort. We specifically booked (and paid extra for) Adults Only rooms to ensure a peaceful, kid-free experience. Unfortunately, that was not what we received.We were shocked to find children in rooms next to ours in the section Adults Only. When we brought it to the staff’s attention, we were told the kids were probably just visiting (that was the first complaint on our second day). That was not the case—this was a clear instance of overbooking and overselling. Despite multiple requests to speak to a manager since arriving, we’ve received no call or follow-up. I had to go down multiple times just to get basic answers from multiple people claiming to be a supervisor. I was thankful my friend spoke Spanish because without her help I truly believe they would not have even bothered giving us the resort credit offered at $50 per night, per room credit—but that hardly compensates for not honoring the Adults Only booking we paid for.In addition, our room was extremely hot. We called for maintenance, and no one ever came. We had the mildew smell but thankful packed DampRid bags (2) to pick up the moisture. We also had no towels our first night in several of the rooms and had to wait hours for delivery. ****Also note: pool towels in the adult-only pool area are not provided, you have to go get them by the main pool with the card you received at check-in. We were unable to get reservations at any restaurant except our last night (Thursday) when we got into the hibachi restaurant. That said, I want to acknowledge the positives: the food was excellent, and the bar and restaurant staff were amazing, there is an ADULT-ONLY seating area in the buffet restaurant.Huge shoutout to Domingo, Jahira, and Stanley at the Adults Pool—their service was truly impeccable and made a big difference in our stay.The resort itself is beautiful, and the beaches are stunning, but unfortunately, the management is disorganized and unprofessional. Our group of 4 rooms spent over 2.5 hours checking in—despite arriving after 3 PM. The others checked in earlier without issues. Also, we were overcharged between $200-300 per room. This is a known issue, we spoke to multiple, highly recommend you pay upfront for your room, and use a credit card with NO CONVERSION rates. My recommendation: do not pay extra for Adults Only—it’s not honored or managed properly. Instead, consider a regular room or the butler service if you want premium attention.
