    It was very good. The staff, especially the lady in the lobby with the afro, was very professional. There was also one in a morning too. The staff was very welcoming and professional throughout the hotel; we felt safe. If it's your birthday, they'll give you a little something extra, even just in the room. I had a pleasant stay. If you're an introvert, this hotel is perfect for you.     Unfortunately they installed a new daytime manager named Maria. She has all the warmth and personality of a frustrated and angry 3 grade teacher. Very sullen and non smiling. She takes her job very seriously and it is to extract as much money from me as possible. I needed a tub in the room instead of a shower. $90.00 extra for two days. And then she persisted in trying to upsell me breakfast lunch and dinner. They treat me much better at the Catalonia hotel. I will go there now. Rude unsmiling upselling salespeople ruin a motel stay. Why they put her in charge in a hotel on this beautiful island with such sunny beautiful people I do not know. I can only imagine how she treats her employees. Kind of gave me the Willie’s to think about it.     Outdated hotel, not worth cost. Front desk forces upgrade and will not change room even if there is an issue for room.

    Rooms were not as advertised, beware the hotel basically forces you to pay more to upgrade. We had several family members that were staying there for and each one had the same check in experience. Original room for deluxe on the 4th floor, smelled terrible and had missing remotes. The deluxe suites smelled terrible and had several issues,like missing remotes, dirty floors and carpet the smelled terrible. Hotel forces you to upgrade for an up charge, Room service was about 40-50 minutes food was not cooked evenly. Tried to order again and it was better. Requests for towels took longer that expected. After waiting for 2 hours for them I had to return to front desk and then wait an additional 30 min. I offered to wait in the lobby for it but they asked me to go back to the room and they would send it up. Positives: The doormen were very attentive and the buffet staff were very pleasant. Overall the quality of the room is much lower than the price. Even after paying for upgrade, my room bathroom sink was missing sealant, toilet kept running and had weak flush. Hotel has a lot of foot traffic as the sports fields are in use by local families.
