  Horrible - don’t stay. Filthy!

  Do not stay here under any circumstance.Absolutely filthy - including the bedding .Awful access as you have to walk up a number of flights of steps from the street. Staff were OK but don’t make up for the sheer awfulness of it. Just avoid at all costs.

  Absolutely worse hotel I have ever stayed in. We normally mix up cheaper and more luxurious places so this rating is not based on facilities but the cleanliness of the place. It was absolutely disgusting! Floor was so filthy our feet were black. Towels and bedding were also dirty and I think they had sprayed the bedding in fly spray as our skin was badly irritated. The toilet and shower were just horrendous from a cleanliness point of view but also neither were working - my husband had to fix both. To cap it off you have to access the hotel up a number of flights of steps, and the lift in the hotel didn’t work! The people were nice but really there is no excuse for this degree of filth. Avoid at all costs

  I've just spent one night in this small hotel, you may find it somehow difficult to find its location in a sideway with some stairs, the hotel itself is somehow good but very simple, rooms are rather small, they overlook the Nile but surrounded with very old houses so the view might not be appealing, the rooms need more care from the housekeeping staff, the breakfast was acceptable

  I’m in this hotel now. Just came to spend one night to go to Abu Simbel in the morning. Aswan is a poor town and don’t be shocked not to see “regular” restaurants or “normal” hotels when it comes to a budget. Good thing about this hotel is its location on the river and “ok” bazar behind it, which offers local gold jewelry, fruits and vegetables, clothes and other local things for a price you must negotiate ( as everything in Africa). Took me 5 minutes to find this hotel because it’s inside the block and not visible from the mail street, which looks ruined with boarded windows in buildings around. First thought was: it’s a scam, but then I walked up the stairs on the street and it was on the right side.It’s ok looked lobby but very poor looking rooms. Linens were clean, shower had low pressure of water and they only gave two small pieces is soap and one roll of toilet paper. You only can imagine how local people live if they call this an “hotel”. I definitely survive this night but if not my trip to Abu Simbel - Aswan is not really a destination.I totally understand locals when they really try to run any business as good as they can, but they are poor and thank god I’m sitting on clean sheets and some pressure of water in the shower helps me to wash off the dust from the streets. It’s dusty, it’s a desert, it’s 36C and today is October 11.Staff is nice but they don’t speak good English, however, they try to help. You definitely can stay here but don’t roll your eyes expecting “Four seasons” for a price of $25 per night. It’s honest opinion, I travel in different poor and not so countries and this place is ok.Lara.NYC.

  The location is decent, and the price isn't bad. Aside from that, there's not much going for this hotel. The hotel itself is not accessible by car. It's up a few small flights of stairs, which is a struggle with bulky luggage if you're on a long trip. The elevator inside the hotel is then up one more flight of stairs. The elevator is also very old and feels like a death trap.The room was clean but very small with an unspectacular shower. It is also LOUD. The A/C unit in the wall isn't well insulated, so it was very cold at night, and lots of noise got in. The hotel is also right next to a mosque, so be prepared for the call to prayer to be blaring right in your ear at 5 AM. You can also hear every slight sound in the hallway. The wifi is very weak as well, though it is there at least.
