Location

This club resort is just 2 km from the pyramids at Giza and around 15 km from the centre of Cairo. It is situated approximately 35 km east of Cairo international airport. Guests have easy access to the new industrial centres.

Facility

The bungalow complex has a lift and features 9 junior suites and 240 single rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A tumble dryer is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a plug adapter and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. Cosmetic products and a selection of towels provide additional comfort in the bathrooms. The complex has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

The outdoor pool complex provides invigorating refreshment. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the terrace, where guests can enjoy a quick break or relax for hours. There is a poolside snack bar as well. Leisure options at the complex include tennis, callisthenics, aerobics and a spa. For a fee, guests can also enjoy a gym, a sauna and massage treatments.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety.

    The Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel is distinctive and has a rich Egyptian character. The hotel staff are highly skilled and professional. Special praise goes to Hani, the room attendant, for his wonderful effort in decorating my room with flowers, balloons, and beautiful towel designs, and for celebrating my daughter's birthday.

    We stayed in one of the self contained bungalows and although they are looking a little tired now, they are kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. The hotel is gradually refurbishing these rooms and the finished ones look fantastic.All the staff here are so friendly and polite. Housekeeping cleaned our room daily and supplied bottled water and fresh towels.The breakfast buffet at The Stiegenburger was excellent with so much choice.The hotel is opposite the Grand Egyptian Museum and Giza Pyramids and both should not be missed.Although just across the road its safer to get a taxi or guided tour. The traffic is phenomenal although we never saw a collision many cars are dented and carry the scars of many collisions 😀.All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, as were all the people we met on our excursions that we would deffinitely visit again.     Avoid ‘garden rooms’ at all costs!

    We booked a ‘garden room’ via Booking.com. This is clearly stated as Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel - but on arrival it seems it’s not! There is a very 3 star at most hotel on the same site (previous Movienpick I believe) and that’s where our ‘garden room’ is. It is such a poor standard I can’t believe it’s being sold under the Steigenberger name!     Ideal location for the Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum. A pool with a view of the Pyramids.

    Fantastic location for Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum.The location really can’t be faulted. The hotel itself is by and large great, unfortunately for us we were in one of the old bungalows yet to be refurbished. Which was disappointing as they aren’t really fit for purpose. Very tired is the best I can say about them. The new ones look amazing.. when they open them! The main Steigenberger part of the hotel looks fab - with balcony views of the pyramids. The staff are by and large lovely, especially Gaafar from housekeeping who looked after us in ‘1010’ really well. Reception was hit and miss with attentiveness and friendliness, but they were helpful when necessary.
