    I just want to say thank you to Mostafa Gamal, the night manager, and Mostafa, guest relations. They were both were very professional and friendly. We had an issue that was promptly resolved and with understanding. They are truly an asset to Cleopatra. We commend them for the service and would recommend the hotel. We will most definitely return for another stay. The hotel is conveniently situated and the breakfast was good. We had a pleasant stay.JZK🤲 May Allah bless you always.Aslam Sayed, South Africa

    Decent hotel in the heart of Cairo.

    Located in the centre of Cairo, on Tahir Square. Very convenient location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Courteous staff. Restaurant serves a very wide and tasty menu. Great breakfast.Since it's on the main road, rooms are noisy, even on the higher floors. It's a old hotel, so rooms are ageing. The safe and the AC controller in our room was not working. AC temperature setting was stuck on minimum.

    I was traveling with a group. We had to wait 4 hours for our room to be ready and we were not offered even water. When I finally got my room the bedding had clearly not been changed and there was water on the bathroom floor by the shower, suggesting that the bathroom floor had not been cleaned either. In addition the safe deposit didn’t work. I reported this to reception and after waiting more than half an hour I had to call again and after 50 minutes I am still waiting

    I am staying here right now with a group tour and the noise (on the 13th floor) is absolutely cacophonous. There is zero sound proofing in this hotel, indeed, there's a window pain for a second layer which doesn't have glass in it. It is like trying to sleep in the middle of Tahrir square itself. I am bracing myself for a terribly sleepless night. An incredibly tired hotel, as evident by just a few examples here:-a complete dearth of plugs. The only plug was next to the bed by the floor (so far away you can't charge your phone next to your bed), and the closest one to the table lamp, whose cable was unplugged and wrapped around the light. Presumably because there aren't enough plugs to actually plug in the lamp. There's a UK style plug in the middle of the bed which is useless due to the wrong plug. There's no plug in the bathroom either. I've never seen a hotel room with so few plugs. -There was also a curious lack of towels, including no shower mat towel. -The shower leaked so that the bathroom was covered with water. Sadly, I didn't have enough towels to both use them and mop up the floor. -the safe was ancient, not like the typical ones but a mechanical, analog one you had to turn and it didn't work. Good things about the hotel:-good water pressure-good wifi
