    More than expected

    rating18 Feb 2026

The hotel is located directly across from the Egyptian Museum, on the 5th floor of an old building. Don’t be misled by the building’s exterior, as the rooms have been renovated and are quite modern and clean. The Superior room faced the street and had a wonderful view from the balcony. Almost no traffic noise reaches inside, so you can sleep comfortably. The hotel manager, Osama, and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located downtown, right next to Tahrir Square, in a very central and safe area. The breakfast is average—not bad, but it could be more satisfying with a greater variety of options. There is no hair dryer in the room; I didn’t ask about it since I brought my own. You may want to come prepared accordingly. In short, it’s a hotel where you can stay safely, comfortably, and economically. I would recommend it.

    Execrable hostel

    rating08 Nov 2023

First of all, we paid for a room, and we were given another room, even though we made certain clarifications. All old furniture. Colony of ants in the bathroom. You can't open the window to air out the room because it fills you with dust. The execrable draperies. The next day we were moved to another room, apart from the fact that you no longer heard the street noise, the bed had some wooden beams on which the mattress was placed. My wife fell from the first moment she sat on the bed. They put 4 beams back saying it just happened. During the night, we both fell, just changing the position in our sleep. Part of the shower was missing. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Not a glass in the room, not a chair. Execrable. I don't recommend this "hostel" even to my enemies. one more thing. In any hotel, hostel or guesthouse breakfast starts at 7. here it's 8:30 am

My wonderful stay at Egyptian Night Hostel

    rating29 May 2023

I just wanted to say I really enjoyed my stay at Egyptian Night Hostel. The wonderful breakfast was served until noon everyday. However, I must say often times I was late arriving after noon. But the ladies Mariem and Kariema always served me with a smile and a pleasant chat. I really enjoyed talking to them both and they were always helpful if I needed anything ! Also, the gentlemen ,Ahmed Hosney, Fays and another gentlemen I just did not get the name were wonderful at the Front reception desk. They gave me suggestions for tours and different places to visit in Cairo. Also, I had a small slip and fall but Ahmed came from the counter quickly and me gave me a hand and made sure I was O.K. Thank you again Ahmed and it was a pleasure chatting with you as well ! Thanks again to the wonderful staff and the Manager at the Egyptian Night Hostel for my pleasant stay !! Sincerely Gloria R.
