    April 30th to June 5th ,2026, room 10002 stay

April 30th to June 5th ,2026, room 10002 stayAnwar Al Madinah Movenpick HotelMy stay is perfect from check in , and the room was upgraded; special thanks to Ms Amwaj Haya who checked me in,with a Haram view room, a renovated one ,very clean and hygienic. Thanks to Mr Dilwar, Mr Wahidol and Mr Bilal the housekeepers ; my room always very clean & all stuff needed were provided. The executive lounge is very big with nice varieties of complimentary food, snacks, and drinks; special thanks to Mr Osman and Mr Faisal for their wonderful services during my visits to the lounge. This lounge closed during my stay starting from 1st of May until the end of Hajj season. Then I discussed this with Mr Rayyan the duty manager promising me to talk about it with room service manager; thanking Mr Rayyan to meet my special requests and for recognising my membership. But when I followed up my request room services staff informed me that Mr Hisham and Mr Anwar managersof restaurants and room services said that they will send coffee, sweets and fruits every day;while I explained to Ms Amani the receptionist of room services that I don't eat sweets..etcUnfortunately Mr Hisham and Mr Anwar refused to change these to more healthy food.More over they even didn't bother to communicate and explain the issue.I am in glteen free diet;this is a clear in my account preferences. If this a policy from Accor Hotels chain; then they should review these policies. This insendent was one of the worst experience I've ever seen in Accor hotels chain.Despite that my thanks to Ms Amani and her colleagues efforts to follow up this issue and to Mr Superman from room service. There is a small prayer hall facing Almasjid Alnabawi; you can join prayers with Almasjid Alnabawi if you run out of time to reach the mosque. My thanks to all in the hotel for their attention, follow-up & polite attitudes

Be Aware of the two parts of this hotel when booking. Pay extra to stay in the Haram Tower.

    rating02 May 2026

Sad to say our experience was horrendous at this hotel. We booked through a travel agency (Al Aswad travel) who arrange this hotel for us. Our excitement was short lived as we were faced with a horrible experience. Please note they are two parts of this hotel. The Madinah Tower and the Haram Tower. Make sure you choose Haram Tower if your budget allows it. We were given a room in the Madinah Tower which was shocking for a 5* hotel. The room was not very clean, dated and dark. It felt like the rooms in Madinah Tower was for a 1 star hotel. There were stains on the carpet and mould in the bathroom. We asked reception to cahmge our room and they offered a different room within Madinah tower whoch was gross. We paid £500 to be upgraded to the Haram tower and still the rooms were not very clean, stains on carpet, dirty windows and the bathroom had mould. We were offered a different room on the next day which was ok but still nothing of what a 5* hotel would be. The food was mediocre. The dining area/restaurant was not hygienic at all. The food was the same every single day. We had indigestion each time we had the hotels breakfast. Paper cups in the restaurants. Over crowded. Dated furniture everywhere in the hotel. We opted to have breakfast in other places despite paying for breakfast. The chairs were filthy and the floor had cracks. There was a musty smell in the hotel I clouding the hotel's masjid/praying area for women. Those who pay for deluxe get access to the hotel club lounge. Do not be fooled as the food on the liunge seems to be the left over from the breakfast. The space in the lounge is lovely and staff were great but it is not worth the money you would pay extra to get access for basic style food n drinks. Eventually after 4 room rejection and extra payment we were given a nicer larger room with views of the Haram but very small bathroom with mould around the shower cubicle. The roo. Was better but still with big yellow stains on the carpet. We had given up complaining by then and qanted to focus on the pyrpose of our visit. The location of this hotel makes it desirable. Other than the location ther was nothing else. I will not be staying there again.
