An affordable jewel in a historical city

    rating29 Apr 2025

As someone who has worked in customer service for over 40 years, I cannot rave about this place more. I stayed there for 6 months over the winter, and Margaret, Tonya, Navi, and Margaret and Anita in housekeeping gave me 5 star service the whole time. Although the rates are affordable, the service is definately more like an expensive hotel. The beds are deliciously comfortable, it is right downtown within walking distance of everything, it is modern in conveniences while sill maintaining a historical feel. Highly, highly recommended.

    Very unsatisfactory.

Bar with no bartender; restaurant with no food. MUST buy a drink to sit on deck and eat your food you had to have delivered.National park service toilet paper far superior to that of the Dundee ‘s.Why some people purport to be innkeepers when all they do is collect the fare.Terribly operated concern that could be a jewel.Did I forget, morning tea or coffee self-serviced ; if they haven’t run out. No morning pastry here or anything else.VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Pat Sands, General Manager at Dundee Arms Inn, responded to this review Good Morning, Thank you for the review. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay. Our restaurant closed in 2020 during the Covid Pandemic . Our liquor license is a Special Privilege license which is issued to establishments that do not serve food only beverages . The license states that a customer can bring in their own food from a licensed take out, however they must buy a beverage from the Dundee to allow them to sit on the deck or in the restaurant. If the rules are not followed our license can be revoked. These are not my rules they are the rules of the PEI Liquor Commission. I want you to know that I take great pride in the Dundee and I will certainly look into the other concerns you stated. Have a great Fall and thank you for visiting with us.

Great little Inn for its location. Can enjoy downtown Charlottetown without a vehicle.

Great little Inn. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. They went out of there way to meet all our wants and requests in a very timely manor. Not fancy accommodations by any means.Rooms are clean and convenient for what we needed. I can see how this Inn would have been tops in its day. Out dated furniture. Could use fresh paint everywhere you looked. Bringing back breakfast would be a welcomed addition. Coffee ready at 7:00 every morning and quickly refilled when empty. Would recommend this Inn for average accommodations. Clean and tidy. Do not expect fancy. Maybe in the Inn but not in the annex.

    Convenient and comfortable

    rating11 Jul 2024

Worked well for us. Room was comfortable with plenty of storage and a large shower. We struggled a little with the AC. It didn't self regulate, so we had to turn it off and on in the night. It did work well to drown out the noise of other guests outside our room in the morning.Convenient to walk downtown. We found a drop off laundry place just a few minutes away.
