    This is a very good hostel in Downtown Cairo , The staff were friendly and helpful , and the room was clean and comfortable . I could recommend it strongly for any one who wants to stay at the centre of the city for a good price .

    Great location, entry is hard to find , elevator sadly out of action, but hey it’s not expensive and you’re right down town, it’s a great base, the two guys on duty are good, owner’s welcoming, I didn’t go to Cairo for the hotel, I went for the sights and history.

    Wallied, Islam and Saudi are amazing hosts at the hotel. Breakfast is lovely and they take exceptional care of you. No harassment to go on tours etc which is nice. The museum is literally a 10min walk and a must see! So much going on in the area with shops and food also. They will help you with anything you need. Great laundry service and a very pleasant stay 😊

    At arrival I was overblown by the unexpected friendly welcomed by the family and their aid Saudy. That was no temporally show, my whole stay at theyr place feeled like beïng at home but with the difference that I have been served as a King. I'm 62 years young ...My room: clean, perfect, excellent with privat bathroom & hot water, good airco, a large bed with a very good matrass. Compairing with 4-star hotelrooms in Europa, this room deserves the double amount off stars & more. Breakfast = Enormous & Delightfull with Taste.There is a balcony where smoking a cigaret & having a drink: the vieuw on Talaab Street and the open sky is amazing ...Internet WIFI = superfast ...Any questions, doubts, informations, ask Walid & Saudy: U get the best true answers.U can come & go 24h's (day_nightlife in Caïro never ends) ...U are in the real center from Caïro: markets, many good streedfood, ... etc.Again ... Thankxs Walid & Family & Saudy for the best time I've got at Your Place.I'll come back in 2025, at Your Place. One week is not enough to explore & know Caïro. And if I lived close by, I would come every day to say hello & continious free openminded talk ...Warm Greetings,Frank.

    Great Location, But Falling Apart and So Many Issues…Just Avoid…

    Great location, but place is falling apart….Had a late arrival due to airlines and there’s no phone number to call to alert them. I spent 2-3 hrs pre trip trying to contact someone or anyone via phone or email to no avail. Luckily, they kept the room for me because I had my bank contact them but got zero confirmation til I arrived at 330am…Impossible to see any signage from the street during the night. It’s dark and there’s a crappy red sign hanging inside of an entry way that goes up 3-4 flights of stairs with no working elevator. Place is a hostel, not a hotel…Check in with a night receptionist who speaks maybe 5-10% English… the room is about 5 steps from the front desk… it’s really a family residence where they rent some rooms occasionally…Inside the room, there’s a huge crack in the ceiling like it’s been thru a major quake… floor tile is buckling in some spots… plaster is coming off the walls… it’s not particularly dirty but it’s definitely not clean… electrical plugs look like they might fry my devices but I need the juice so fingers crossed - that seems to work… About to crash from a series of long flights, so I decide to check out the bathroom. It’s really a toilet stall with a small sink and a shower hose above you. It’s maybe 3.5’ x 2.5’. Am I supposed to stand on the toilet seat while showering? I’ve been in tight baths before but this is next level. Do my business and the toilet doesn’t flush… awesome…Finally, it gets even better… The front door doesn’t lock. Not sure if my clothes and stuff will be safe while I’m off touring pyramids and what not… I don’t know who’s been rating this place anywhere above 2 stars. This felt like a safety hazard waiting to occur… checked out after my pyramid tours and booked at a brand name hotel less than 2km away. Avoid until they actually address a few of these issues and some kind soul posts some updated photos…
