  Great hotel and staff

  We stayed here as a family of grandparents, mum and 10 yr old.We were met at reception by Tallat who I had emailed. He was helpful and allocated us rooms together as I had requested. The rooms were large and modern very clean with water brought everyday, a fridge to keep them cold. Always made up and soft towels. The staff around resort were friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the sunbed service, the young man knew our drinks and was very attentive.The large pool was heated and though not warm, it was easy to get in. Towel service was great always plenty.The swim up bar did get very rowdy people got more drunk as the day wore on. It wasn’t nice to see or hear.Playing darts in the bar was not a good idea for a family resort.The slides and staffing were great.The food was ok nothing amazing but plenty of choice, always hot. The restaurants were never busy and never a queue.Evening entertainment was not great changed from the schedule everday and was only 30 mins, again waiter service was spot on.When you arrive use the QR code to book the a la carte which was really lovely and the complimentary trip to another Pikalbatross for a really special show. You are taken and returned by minibus. There is a 3 course meal provided with soft and alcoholic drinks. The food isn’t really kiddie friendly but I asked and my granddaughter was given chicken nuggets and chips. It was a a really nice trip.You can walk across the road and through the sister hotel to use the beach. It’s a steady 15 mins stroll. The beach has a bar you can use as part of your AI. I believe food is also provided. There are very comfy sunbeds and access to snorkelling. Unfortunately, there are no lifts so there can be a lot of stairs. We asked at reception for someone to collect our cases as we left.Do not miss the out of this world desert restaurant in the next hotel, we didn’t find it til we were ready to leave .. luckily .. it had such a great choice of cakes, pastries, chocolate fountain and hot drinks.I would recommend the hotel to families but I think the evening entertainment needs stepping up a bit. Lovely holiday.

  Exceeded expectations, however Al - a -cart food was cold and undercooked. All staff were friendly and efficient, waiter Ahmed Kaheed in the lobby bar gave excellent service on every evening of our stay. Would recommend hotel, and hopefully be back early next year.

  Inappropriate behavior of a staff member and a disappointing experience at the hotel

  I have thought for a long time about whether I should write this review or not, but I ultimately decided to do so because I believe situations like this should not be ignored.I came to Aqua Blu with my family for a vacation. At first, everything was very nice until an employee named Mohammed Amir began giving me unwanted and intrusive attention. He told me that he was the main manager of the hotel and that he controlled everything there.At first, he initiated a conversation with me and approached me in a normal way, but later he repeatedly started inviting me to go for walks with him, drink alcohol, or spend time at his villa (and I think it is clear that this was not just about normal conversation). He also talked about his car and his villa. For me, this behavior felt very inappropriate, especially because I was there with my family.I politely explained that I have a boyfriend and that I was not interested in getting acquainted. He said “okay” and walked away. However, a few days later he approached me again by the pool and once again asked for my contact details – Instagram, Telegram, or WhatsApp. I clearly refused again.Later, I had an issue with the air conditioner in my room and reported it to the reception. I was told it would be fixed, but when I returned from an excursion, nothing had been done.The next day I saw Mohammed Amir again. I spoke to him about the air conditioner, but instead of responding professionally, he once again shifted the conversation into a personal direction and hinted at contact details, as if solving my problem depended on it.Later, when I went to get a towel, other staff members were present. I explained the situation, including that Mohammed Amir had presented himself as the main manager. They then informed me that he actually works in room division.After that, I met other girls from Germany who told me they had experienced exactly the same situation with him. They also reported that he asked for contact details, offered alcohol, and continued behaving in a very intrusive way.This behavior was a shock to me and completely unprofessional. I came to this hotel with my family to feel safe and comfortable – not to experience such situations with staff.However, I really liked the hotel itself: restaurants, service, evening shows, animation, and the overall atmosphere were all excellent.I have thought a lot about whether I should write this review, but I decided to do it in the hope that such situations will be taken seriously and will not happen again.

  I have had a wonderful holiday here. This hotel is spotless and the staff have been both friendly, attentive and respectful.I would like to acknowledge just a few whom I have interacted with the most.Mohamed Mohamed at the Tagine restaurant.Ali Tarek at the Tagine restaurant for his wonderful Oriental Pies.Ahmed Rageb at the Melody bar who brought my drinks to me at the wave pool.Brotos and Emand of the Lobby and Concerto bars.Aymain who looked after me in various areas.Ali Abbas who cleaned my room (5304) to the highest standard.The entertainment team were excellent.My one criticism is that the buffet food at Tagine restaurant is not hot enough, temperature wise.I can really recommend this hotel, both for families and solo travellers.
