Location

The hotel is located only 25 minutes from Hurghada on the road to Safaga on the Red Sea coast. Guests will find Dana Beach around 15 minutes' walk away (or 5 minutes by public transport). Shopping and nightlife options are also some 15 minutes' walk from the hotel. The marina is around 20 minutes' drive away and it is also 20 minutes' drive to Hurghada International Airport.

Facility

The resort was modernised in 2026. 1770 rooms, including 445 double rooms, are available to guests in a 2-storey main building and several auxiliary buildings. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a cash machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car (no extra charge). Other services include a 24-hour security service, medical assistance, a transfer service, 24-hour room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a page service and a hotel shuttle bus.

Rooms

Air conditioning (no extra charge) ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most rooms include a balcony or terrace. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds can be provided at no extra charge upon request. A safe and a minibar are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. Other features include a telephone, a flatscreen television with satellite channels and WiFi (no extra charge). Guests will also find slippers in their rooms. A hairdryer and a vanity mirror are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. 12 wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked.

Sport

Whether in need of rest and relaxation or more activity, guests can swim a few lengths of one of the 32 outdoor pools (no extra charge), while children have a special swimming area just for them. The pool area also includes a hot tub (for a fee), a waterslide and a pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols on the sun terrace create a perfect space for guests to relax and unwind. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including tennis, volleyball, crazy golf and paddle tennis. With water aerobics or, for a fee, windsurfing, banana boat rides, snorkelling and diving available, fans of water sports have plenty of options to choose from. The resort offers numerous indoor sports, including yoga, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, billiards. Various wellness options, such as a spa, a sauna, a hammam, a beauty salon, massage treatments, anti-ageing treatments and a Cleopatra bath, are offered for a fee. Third-party operators offer a spa, a sauna, hammam, beauty salon, massage treatments and Cleopatra bath. Guests can enjoy a range of leisure facilities and activities, including a kids' disco and live music.

Meals

The complex includes a lobby bar. Guests can dine at the restaurant (non-smoking, a buffet, air conditioning and high chairs). All-inclusive can be booked. A generous and varied breakfast buffet (also for early birds and late risers) provides many delicious reasons to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests serve themselves at the buffet. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes, children's meals, halal food, lactose-free food and vegan food can be prepared on request. Guests can request baby food free of charge. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    Absolute incredible place and hotel!     By far the aqua park is the sensation, then in the evening the show and the kids rides.Food ok ish could be better, but there are lots of places to eat.Pools everywhere, any size. For me the best feature is the guy serving drinks around the pools, nice guy.     Great staff and amenities, but serious room issues and a major safety incident with highchairs

    ​We are currently midway through our stay at Pickalbatros Jungle Aqua Park in Hurghada. There are some fantastic elements to this resort, but unfortunately, a couple of major negatives have brought our rating down to a 3-star. We intend to update this review at the end of our holiday.​The Good Parts:The staff here are absolutely wonderful, incredibly friendly and always making an effort to interact with our two young children, which we really appreciate. There is also an abundance of entertainment and activities to keep everyone busy both day and night. The pools are fantastic and absolutely great for our babies' ages, and they have really enjoyed the rides at the Midway fairground.​We are staying in one of the bungalow rooms in the 2000 block area of the resort. We are very happy with our final room. It is nice, clean, and in a fantastic central location. The housekeeping team is excellent, and they even leave a nice, different towel sculpture for us each day. From this spot, we can reach the main pool within minutes, and both waterparks and Midway Street are less than a 5-minute walk away.​The Negatives:​Arrival and Check-in Chaos: Our check-in process was incredibly slow. We were initially given a room that wasn’t what we booked. After having to argue our case, we were taken to a second room, only to find it hadn’t been cleaned at all with dirty tissues in the bin, empty water bottles, and cigarettes left out. We were finally moved to a third room but then had to wait over half an hour for a cot to be delivered. By this time it was around midnight, and as you can imagine, we desperately just wanted to get our baby down to sleep.​Severe Safety Issue with Highchairs: The highchairs across the entire hotel are very poorly maintained. Most are missing trays or safety straps, meaning babies cannot be secured. Tragically, this resulted in an incident today where our 9-month-old fell completely out of a highchair and landed on his head.​While the floor staff like the waiters and chefs were incredibly helpful and sympathetic at the time, upper management initially told us we would have to pay to see the doctor, despite the injury being caused by their faulty equipment. They did eventually agree to cover the cost, and Georgia from Guest Relations was brilliant, escorting us to the clinic and helping us at the pharmacy.​Summary:This could easily be a 5-star resort because the layout, facilities, and general staff are great. However, management urgently needs to replace or repair the highchairs before another child gets seriously hurt. We have already expressed our concerns to guest relations about needing to manage our baby's cold compresses on our final day, and they have told us to come back and speak with them the night before we check out. We will update this review with their solution after our trip.
