    A nice property but the pool has not been open for years according to the font desk. A bit of false advertising, the pool area is all lit up and looks very inviting, but guests cannot use it.

    I loved it from the start! I stay at hotelier often for weekend trips, work trips, out of town family & this one was definitely better! The girl at the desk was lovely. The decor is modern, open/spacious. Our room is clean and spacious, the shower is huge the body wash smells amazing! The breakfast was one of the best continentals I’ve had. It had your regular eggs/bacon/sausage but they also had ham, egg & cheese croissant sandwiches. Spinach and Swiss mini quiches. Fresh fruit which I’ve rarely seen along with every topping you could think of with yogurt. Waffle maker, whipped cream etc. I will definitely be back as a Staten Island ❤️

    The Residence Inn in Kingston, NY is in a transitioning area. Actually, it seems that all of Kingston, NY is transitioning. The hotel is fine -- the front desk and breakfast area staffs were nice. The pet fee is higher than other Marriott properties and I'm not sure why.Since there isn't much to do or see in Kingston, you might want to consider other cities for lodging.

    This hotel is located next-door to a ghostly mall, mostly empty except for a Target store. There’s a vacant Sears with a gigantic parking lot. Nearby there are many other malls of various sizes on a busy commercial strip. Lots of vacancies there too. But this is a handy area to highways and a bridge across the Hudson. The town of Kingston has several good restaurants. It was a good base of operations for this region for a few days. Staff was great.

    We went for one night, and we enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were just what we needed, the location was good, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent (many options, pleasant staff). The only thing that was disappointing was the front desk. We arrived right before check in (which is 4pm) and there was no one at the front desk. We waited 5 minutes while watching a basketball game. Finally I called the hotel and after 5 rings someone picked up. I explained we were waiting and they casually said, oh yeah, I will be there in a moment. Then someone came out and did not apologize and acted very indifferent. Barely got eye contact. Not a good first impression, luckily the staff at breakfast were very sweet and friendly.
