Location

Perfect for parents with children, this eco-hotel is situated in a pleasantly quiet, car-free zone right next to the city centre and 7 km from the tourist attractions of Nabq. There are a number of shops nearby.

Facility

The resort was modernised in 2025. Guests have a choice of 350 rooms, including 108 suites and 154 double rooms, located in a 3-storey main building and a 7-storey auxiliary building. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park (no extra charge). Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service (on request and for a fee), a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, 24-hour room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a page service, a hotel doctor and a hotel shuttle bus. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Central heating ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Rooms have a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds or children's beds can be provided upon request. A safe and a minibar are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. Other features include a telephone, satellite television, an alarm clock and WiFi. The bathrooms have a shower and a bidet. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Bathrooms with wheelchair access can also be booked. The resort has smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. The pool area also includes a hot tub (for a fee), a waterslide and a pool bar. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The wide range of activities offered at the resort ensures that there is something new to do every day, including tennis, bocce, beach volleyball and volleyball. Guests can partake in various water sports, including snorkelling and water aerobics. In addition, diving is offered for a fee. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym, darts and aerobics. Various wellness options, such as a sauna, a hammam, a beauty salon and massage treatments, are offered for a fee. Leisure facilities include a kids' club, a kids' disco, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a café, a bar and a lobby bar. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. All-inclusive can be booked. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests serve themseves at the buffet or choose their preferred fare from the menu (for dinner). Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers snacks. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    This place is disgusting!! I wouldn't let my worse enemies stay there!!!It needs shutting down!!! I don't want to go into details but it is the worst hotel on the planet! I have stayed at a hostel in Amsterdam that is better than this!!!Please please please do not go here!

    Filthy, filthy hotel. We were only here one night, but made our guide look at the room with us. It took 3 rooms to find one with hot water and a passable bed but the floor was disgusting.

    Ihave not stayed in the hotel, but we have an apartment in Nabq and we use to go in the horizon for a drink, but over the last couple of years the staff as changed, the new management do not seem to care, when MR KELLET was there it was a good place , happy staff, very friendly, but all the staff have gone now. it was a good place

    we went 26/12/10 to 02/01/11 when we arrived we haD 3 ROOMS BOOKED.None of them Were next to eachotherThe Rooms were dirty, The shower didnt work the bathroom was very dirtymy Husband opened the fridge and there was a dinner left in there from the previous people.They came to clean the room when we complained using Dirty cloths SO GOT NO WHERE.WHEN WE GOT IN BED THE SHEETS WERE SOAKING WET.We slept on the top of the covers with a toel over us.When we complained to reception they didnt give a Dam and wondered what our what our problem was with the placePLATES We went for breakfast and couldnt eat the whole resturant was Dirty, The Cutlery ETC.and the food was not APPERTISING at all, and thats not it there was not a lot of any of it at all.The walls were very Dirty, the falls and the tables.We were Supposed to be staying for 7 nights we lasted one nightand then the next daywe found another hoteL and had to put it on the credit card as we couldnt of stayed there another nightThe hotel we moved to was a 4 star as well but 100% better than horizon.No way is Horizon sharm Hotel a 4 star.if you stay there you will regret it.

    this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. I'll start with breakfast. When you took the lid off the tray it was empty. It said hot dogs and when you opened it there was mouldy aubergine from 3 nights before. there is no hot water and te lamps are the most dodgiest lamps ever. we go outside and the people who walk past us say what is your hotel name .We say horizon and every single one of them say we really hope that your rubbish hotel doesnt make you feel that sharm el sheikh is a bad place. we come back home and we want to get some sleep. the back door doesnt shut so we have to sleep with about a dozen misquitos on our head. wake up in the morning look in the mirror and got spots all over my face cos of the flies. believe me if you go to this hotel you will regret going to egypt. complete waste of time and money. it is 4 star but it deserves 0 star and all they want is money. pppllllleeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssssssseeeeeeeeee dont go.
