  Don’t do it ! It’s a 2-3 star. Pictures are all lies. Very dirty especially the bedrooms very dusty bedsheets were definitely not changed and the bathrooms were mouldy brown and water was dirty too. If you book this hotel you will have the worst experience. We left after one night , paid a bit more but definitely worthit. This would have ruined our whole holiday had we stayed .

  This is not a 4 star hotel. The only nice place of this hotel is its lobby. Rooms are old, beds are uncomfortable, towels were smelling, I wonder if they wash it. The worth thing was food. Imagine you eat the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They had nuggets for breakfast and for the lunch theh were mixing them with vegetables. There was nothing to eat for the breakfast. I mostly stayed hungry and after my last lunch I was vomiting as the food wasnt fresh. I wonder how they could get 4 stars on tripadvisor.

  We booked IL Mercato Splash Aqua Park expecting a 5-star experience, but it fell well below what was advertised and left us feeling genuinely misled.The rooms were shabby and clearly in need of maintenance. This is not what you expect from a hotel marketed at this level, and it was disappointing from the moment we arrived.Food and drink were another major letdown. The quality and variety were poor, and it quickly became repetitive. Again, nowhere near 5-star standard.Entertainment and activities were advertised as a key part of the experience, but in reality there was very little happening. When staff were around, they often seemed more interested in socialising with guests than actually running activities or engaging properly.One of the most frustrating aspects was the clear mismatch between the promotional material and reality. The picture and videos we saw before arrival (and even played within the hotel) make the resort look vibrant and high quality — this simply wasn’t our experience.To make things worse, there was no air conditioning as it was considered “winter,” despite temperatures being around 27°C. This made the rooms extremely uncomfortable, especially at night.After returning, we looked at other recent reviews and it’s clear many guests have raised similar issues around room condition, lack of activities, and the hotel not matching what is advertised. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be a one-off experience.Overall, this hotel does not meet 5-star expectations, and we would not return.

  Amazing experience

  I had an absolutely amazing experience at Il Mercato Hotel during my two-week stay over the Easter break. Travelling solo can sometimes feel daunting, but from the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly well looked after by the entire team. This was my 8th time staying at the hotel, and it continues to exceed my expectations every single time. The staff across all departments—reception, bar, restaurant, housekeeping, and the animation team—were outstanding; everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, which made a huge difference to my experience. A special mention goes to the animation team, especially Brazily, who made my stay truly memorable. He made sure I was always having a great time, whether it was joining in activities at the hotel or going out to beach parties—we went out twice, and I always felt completely safe, as he never left me on my own even for a moment, which I really appreciated as a solo traveller. The evening entertainment at the hotel was fantastic—I especially enjoyed the dance lessons with Brazily and playing darts, as there was always something fun and engaging happening. One of the most special moments of my stay was the surprise birthday celebration organised for me on the rooftop, complete with a beautiful cake, and the housekeeping team went above and beyond by decorating my room so thoughtfully (see pictures attached), which truly made me feel valued and celebrated. A special mention to Ahmed from the bar, who truly went above and beyond throughout my stay. He consistently served beautifully made cocktails and coffee, always with great attention to detail. On days when I missed lunch, he kindly made sure I was looked after by preparing beautifully cut fruits for me, which I really appreciated. He was always friendly, professional, and attentive, making every interaction a pleasure. What makes this hotel so special is the feeling it gives you—it doesn’t feel like a typical holiday stay, but more like returning to family. I will definitely be coming back again and again, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and fun-filled stay.

  3 stars hotel avoid if you can. mislead information . The reality off this hotel is ald and dirty

  the staff is ok except for a manager and a doctor who are scammers. my daughter was bitten by mosquitoes at the a la carte restaurant the next day I went to the hotel doctor for a histamine cream. I should point out that there were no prices displayed and the doctor told us from the beginning that the price would be 20-30 dollars. he asked if we had medical insurance and that he recommended that we go with insurance. in the end after talking to the insurance he changed the price to 120 dollars. I did not agree with the new price and asked for a hotel manager to come. this manager was incoherent and we could not establish whether this doctor was an employee of the hotel or private. after long negotiations I paid 80 dollars for a cream. an exaggerated amount for a simple consultation and a cream. the hotel is very old and the reality is disappointing. the cleanliness leaves something to be desired. the air conditioning in the room is very smelly and in the lobby area it is only on at certain times. some beach towels very worn and sewn. on the beach a lot of purple jellyfish. the one that leads to the aqua park is very uneven and a lot of drain holes. the hotel rooms are not what you see in the advertisement. the food is very basic and repetitive. the ice cream is overpriced. overall the hotel is 3 stars not 5.
