    Magical Christmas time trip

    rating30 Jan 2026

Stayed here December 2025 with my husband and 2 children (7 and 11) we booked a package holiday with TUI. The trip was amazing from start to finish. So magical. We stayed in one of the cabins which we loved as it had its own sauna and wood burner for warming us up after hours outside enjoying the snow. We were bed and breakfast and couldn't fault the food,we also had a 3 course buffet style meal on our final night and that was also lovely. We enjoyed a few drinks at the bar a couple of times which was nice and cosy. Around the hotel is a lovely frozen lake, ski slope at which you can also snow tube or to bogan, a convenience store stocked with food, drink and essentials and a few lovely restaurants.

    Amazing!

    rating10 Jan 2026

We stayed here for 4nights Dec 2025, booked with TUI and stayed in the log cabins. If your mobility isn’t the best, I would suggest staying in the hotel as there is a good walk to the log cabins. If you have never been to Lapland, I would100% recommend, regardless of where you stay, the whole atmosphere is amazing. We had a large amount of snow while we were there (which I know can be hit and miss in December) but it was so magical. The log cabin was extremely clean, warm and pleasant. Lapland isn’t cheap, but I would say it’s worth every penny! We booked with TUI who have a flexible payment plan. Food at the evening meal was generic, but there was something for everyone. There is a resteraunt on site, which sell lovely meals. There’s an area around the lake where there are huts which have fire pits and you can toast your marshmallows. Also about a 5minutes walk you are at the ski slope. Our cabin was in the woods and was so quiet, there was a ‘giant’ bunk bed, essentially 2 double beds put top/bottom and then 2 single beds on top put top/bottom. There was a kitchen, with a stove, microwave, kettle. Dining table.Bathroom, sauna, clothes dryer. It really was magical. We had the best stay and look forward to returning

    Great value Lapland magic

    rating02 Jan 2026

This hotel is wonderful. We stayed in a family room which we loved! So spacious, not modern, but had everything we needed including a dryer in the bathroom & tea/coffee making facilities. We saw the Northern lights from the balcony of our family room! Breakfast was good & the restaurant was excellent, we did not do half board just paid what we ordered. Staff all lovely. Be warned, you must pre book taxis-we sadly missed our Amethyst mine trip which went from the Iukko-luosto parking lot cos no taxis were available. The coach from rovaniemi bus stop was perfect - dropping us off right outside. Location is ideal. Very small supermarket across the road. We enjoyed the amethyst pool! The value was much better than staying in rovaniemi.

Great base but rooms not very clean

    rating30 Dec 2025

Great base for Luostotunturi activities. Food is adequate. Unfortunately there are very few places to sit outside your room and what there is, is at the end of corridors and dirty and uninspiring. Lovely lit candles through dinning room, bar and reception. Staff in the dinning room and bar are lovely. The rooms themselves are dirty and not cleaned. When we asked for the floor to be vacuumed and why the beds weren’t made, the guy behind reception laughed and said they don’t make beds you do them yourself. Indeed one does at home but never had to in a hotel! Apparently they not cleaned, they only bring towels and toilet roll! The floor in our room was covered in bits when we arrived and 3 days later still not cleaned. We find it disgusting to give someone a room where the floor has not been swept or vacuumed. Shame as could be a lovely hotel, albeit dated.

    Disappointing food.

    rating19 Dec 2025

A good stay with one exception. The food. Average quality and not enough for everyone. We were allotted 2 nd sitting, and were left with what was left. First night we went to eat there were a couple of the big tins that were empty and not replenished. The dessert table often contained what was left from 1st sitting. On our last night there was nothing left. I asked one of the attendants who said there was no more. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager, which I did.He said that wasn’t the case, and before I could say anything else he walked away. About 15 minutes later some stewed apple came out with some biscuits.
