    No spa or a Pool Available - Expensive and Awful Breakfast

    This hotel was absolutely awful. I came to celebrate my sisters 60th birthday and knowing the weather wasn't going to be great at the end of March, I picked this hotel specifically for the spa and indoor pool. When I arrived to check in, I was told the spa and pool were closed due to maintenance. If I could have cancelled right there and found another hotel - I would. When I complained about this, all management was willing to do, was waive the €20 parking for the night, which I shouldn't have had to pay to begin with! The €27/person 'American' breakfast was absolutely dreadful. The scrambled eggs were a solid block of pale green stuff in a tray that didn't resemble anything like eggs, the hash browns were 1/2 potatoes baked, and the pastries were more like stale banana bread and other bland breads. Even the coffee machine wasn't working properly. It was one of the worst stays I've ever had - expensive and poor quality. If you want to check in early - they charge by the hour. The only highlight was the Starbucks instant coffee served at the bar. To top it off they had builders in doing some work - and my car picked up a nail in the parking lot (near the works truck) and I had to pay dot a puncture repair. I also took the initiative to look for an alternative hotel nearby with spa facilities and availability, but you preferred to maintain your reservation with us.Regarding the breakfast, your comments do not reflect the usual standards of quality we strive to maintain. We are therefore opening an internal investigation to better understand what may have happened and ensure this does not occur again.Concerning the work on site, the contractor present was an artisan working on insulation, a type of work that does not require the use of nails.     Lovely hotel where the staff were super helpful and spoke better English than I spoke French which was very good since my French is terrible :) they offer lots of nuxe products for gifting and even had their own Starbucks which was welcome to me lol. Also the bedding was very comfortable.
