Location

This is a grand resort overlooking Biarritz' main beach, La Grand Plage. Many monuments and natural wonders can be visited in the city and in the surrounding area, such as the Rock of the Virgin, the sea museum, the lighthouse, the fishermen's harbour and La Cote Des Basques. Guests will find a disco, links to the public transport network and a casino all within 500 m of the hotel. San Sebastian is 30 km away and it is 90 km to the ski region. Biarritz Airport is only 4 km away.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1854. Guests have a choice of 14 junior suites, 23 suites, 7 single rooms and 123 double rooms located in a 5-storey main building and a 5-storey auxiliary building. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a playroom and a library. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. Sport

The pool complex, which includes 2 heated saltwater and freshwater pools and a children's area, ensures great swimming. In warm weather, a dip in the outdoor pool is always worth it, while the indoor pool is the perfect place to spend a grey day. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A sun terrace, sun loungers, and parasols are available. Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a pub. A non-smoking restaurant with air conditioning, high chairs and a separate area for smokers is available to guests. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Dinner options include à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request.     Lovely hotel with great customer service attitudes. We had a small issue with the bathroom, which was fixed immediately, and Nesma from customer service was most apologetic. The gift from the hotel was most appreciated. I will definitely return!

    My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel du Palais Biarritz from April 25 to 26, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end.This is not simply a hotel, but a truly iconic and historic property, combining elegance, luxury, and a unique atmosphere. Without doubt, it is one of the finest — if not the finest — hotels in Biarritz and the surrounding region.The facilities are outstanding, the setting is magnificent, and the sense of history throughout the property makes the stay very special. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were remarkable: professional, attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming.A very special thank you to Nassima and Christine for their exceptional kindness and hospitality.     This is an amazing hotel. It truly is a palace and I cannot say enough about the staff. Lovely spa and indoor pool. Michelin star restaurant tasting menu was one of the best meals we have ever had.     We tried to visit this hotel late morning with a view to having a glass of wine and checking out the brasserie for a meal later in the week. A very unpleasant security man at the gate blocked us and told us it was “fully booked” till 12 and the bar didn’t open till 4, and that “if we were lucky” we might get a coffee or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Given such a warm welcome we decided to go elsewhere.
