    Well located comfortable and friendly hotel

    We received a really friendly welcome over and above that at most hotels including booking a vegan restaurant for us. The location is brilliant for all of Biarritz’s sights and we enjoyed the morning market round the corner. The room was comfortable with a fridge and excellent bed. Parking is tricky so we appreciated the hotels pass to a local carpark giving a small discount.

    I agree with all the previous comments. The staff were very friendly and professional. The hotel is very centrally located but also very quiet. We didn't use the courtyard but it was beautiful. Rooms were a pretty design, clean and spacious. I would just warn families like us (a couple and their daughter of 18) staying in a room for three, or friends travelling together; that there was no door between the bathroom and the bedroom and just an opaque glass door for the toilets. This proved difficult for those wanting privacy. Our room was also designed for two, so our daughter didn't have a reading lamp.

    This hotel was the absolute best! It was centrally located so everything was a short walk, but thankfully on a quiet side street that made for quiet sleep . Rooms were very clean and well appointed. But, the most impressive aspect was the amazing staff! When I entered the lobby, I realized that I had left my purse in the cab, with my passport and wallet. Unfortunately, the cab sped away before I noticed this. The staff were outstanding! One called local cab companies and another very clever young woman was able to track down the driver on Facebook! I never would have thought of that. They spent an inordinate amount of time helping me in a very stressful situation and were able to track down the driver, and my purse was returned with nothing missing! They were all soooo nice about it and didn’t make me feel like a pest! The staff member the next day gave us great recommendations and was very helpful getting us a cab for the next leg of our trip.There is a very comfortable library type room off of the library which provided us a nice place to relax. Can’t say enough about this amazing hotel.

    Wonderful welcome and amazing breakfast

    In a narrow one way street with a plain gray front, this hotel could easily be overlooked. But once inside it’s very different. The lady who welcomed us couldn’t have been more helpful, drawing instructions on a map of Biarritz to ensure we made the best use of our short visit. The room had everything we needed and was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was simply amazing. Almost everything is homemade and there is an incredible array of traditional Basque dishes.

    Takes some getting used to. Unusual for a 4*. In a quiet side street near the centre of town. The room was spacious; the beds comfortable; adequate storage; good bath/shower. Ample continental choice at breakfast. You can order eggs of several types for a small extra charge. I would recommend as the scrambled eggs were wonderful and freshly made. of course. Reception closes at 2100 hours and access to hotel, lift and room are all by secure key. The little garden is pleasant. Unfortunately, the weather precluded us from taking full advantage. Wifi can be an issue.Constructive criticism- could do with a door between bedroom and bathroom.
