    Small and noisy room

    The room was very very small and a noise from a ventilation machine near the room did not let us sleep. The staff told us they knew it but it was necessary to have the machine running for general hotel ventilation. If they know the problem, why do they sell it?

    Good value hotel close to all amenities. Helpful and friendly staff. Good variety for breakfast. Close to the marina & beach. Short walk to town centre. Good base to visit the area. Not a modern hotel, but you can see that from the photos.

    This is a traditional style hotel which means the rooms are not well soundproofed, you are able to hear guests in the next room having a shower etc. We also overlooked that there is not any air-conditioning in the rooms but we did have a nice little patio area where you could relax in the shade so it wasn't a problem for us. It has excellent secure underground parking nearby and a reasonable size pool, as well as a shallow pool for young children. There is also a nice terrace where you can enjoy a drink from the bar. The beach is very close and is superb, it's very gently sloping ideal for families. As with all hotels in Hendaye planes fly overhead to Hondarribia airport, fortunately it's not too busy so not a real problem.

    While the staff is super friendly, and the house is pretty from outside, the rooms are really really underwhelming. Very tight space, dusty and old, terrible pillows and spiderwebs with the spiders themselves in the room. The terrace was specially dirty. It would be ok for a 50 euro night but at its price is crazy. Location great for the beach and crossing to Spain but far from anything else.

    We stayed there in July (warm month) There is no A/C, try to sleep with open windows and you’ll feel as if you were sleeping on the street, try to close the windows, same noise and no air to breath in the room.We barely slept during our whole stay. The bed is so small we wondered if it was not for kids (and were not that tall) The breakfast is basic basic basic There is no elevator so good luck lifting your bags However the staff is very kind and welcoming
