    Clean and well placed

Nice 2* hotel placed in walking distance(10-15 min) to the main attractions. Rooms are big and clean, very good beds. There is no air conditioner but in the nights it was cool enough to sleep. Staff help full. With small inprouvment can get the third star. Internet free but unstable.

Cheap and basic but adequate accommodation

    rating17 Jun 2018

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon so reception was shut. We had clear directions and picked up the key without incident - some indication of how to access the car park would have been nice though. Press button 1 on the key fob and the gates open, we discovered. The apartment was clean, although we did find a hair on the pillow which was a bit grim. The bed was comfortable and 2 chairs are provided. There's a flat screen TV. There's no air conditioning but a large opening window and a fan. The kitchen is limited, two hot plates and a microwave and s couple of pans. Bathroom is tiny and dated but we had no problems with hot water. The area is a bit down market - it's the kind of place but students live, but we didn't feel uncomfortable. There's a supermarket to the left of the main entrance, and two bakeries to the right, 2 mins walk. The further bakery is ace, top notch baguettes and croissants - we didn't try the breakfast in the apartment. Buses to the centre are on the next street but it's only 5 mins walk to tram line B which takes you right through the centre of town, starting at Place Victoire, the nearest spot for restaurants. It's basic here, but cheap and we found it comfortable. The students we met were polite and there was no noise issue during our stay.

    Pay peanuts, you get this...

We booked at this hotel and in hindsight it was a huge mistake. Located in dubious neighbourhood. Prepare for a good 20 minute walk to Victoire Square. Use the number 5 bus in Cours de la Somme and avoid walking along Cours de l'Yser. Room was clean upon arrival although during our 6 night stay wasn't cleaned once. We ended up putting the dustbin in the hallway on day 5 to stop a bad smell in the room. Bed was comfy although pillows were not! Shower stall was cramped and bracket holding shower head in position was malfunctioning. Hot water was good from the 150l geyser in the room. Kitchen didn't impress. The staff were not very helpful or attentive. If you only need a cheap place to rest your head, this will do. Next time we visit Bordeaux, this "student hostel" will not be considered by us again... their website did oversell the establishment.

Low budget in a students residence

    rating28 Sept 2016

If you intend just to have somewhere to sleep in expensive Bordeaux, I partially recommend this low budget "hotel"If you are with a car, you need GPS to find it.The rooms are clean, beds confortable, very close parking space (6 euros/day),private bathroom, TV, small kitchinette, good free internet. Bad parts : small and unconfortable shower cabin ), dirty area but I can say it is safe, bad cooking smells on the hallways, far from the city center ( you need a car or public transport ), breakfast is a joke ( almost nothing to eat ). Even so we received very good instructions from reception to enter in the building late in the night.

Basic and in need of redecoration

    rating05 Aug 2016

We have just arrived at this apartment after staying at the same one in Angers. Sadly this one is much worse in comparison. Our sink is blocked, the light in the kichenette does not work, the shower head fitting is broken, and the TV does not dispaly an image for more than 2 seconds without distoring. We know the apartment is cheap and only two stars but the management should at least ensure the rooms are in working order for the new guests. The entire establishment could do with refurbishment so that it does not look like student accomadation. It is very disappointing after beign in Angers!
