  I wouldn't stay here again!

  We stayed here for one night as a stop over on the way back to the UK.We stayed here on a Monday night & were the only guests. The free parking advertised is in fact street parking near to the property which isn't either guaranteed or secure. My car contained some valuable Bordeaux reds & the owner kindly agreed to park the car inside the grounds, but this would be impossible with other guests.The house itself is charming & the breakfast is plentiful & very good.The owner is a charming lady & served us some nice wine on the sunny veranda in the evening.The house isn't in Sancerre. That's approximately 3 km away up a hill. Restaurants nearby are limited, especially on a Monday.Finally the owners dog bit be for no apparent reason. Luckily I was wearing jeans.Overall, not a great stay at a quite hefty price point for offering.

  An unforgettable stay in the gorgeous french countryside

  Our stay at The Chanceliere was an absolute dream. Every room and hallway is filled with charm that gets better and better as you make your way through the home. We were treated to aperitif on the patio around 4pm and a lovely classic breakfast in the morning. The dogs are a joy as well. We will truly never forget this experience, and we cannot thank the hostess enough.I could say a million things about how much we loved this place, but see for yourself — not only in all of the gorgeous photos, but book a stay to see this masterpiece in-person!

  Tremendous hospitality in Sancerre.

  Nicole has a wonderful house with several different bedroom possibilities in a nice suburb close to Sancerre. We had a great two days enjoying her hospitality! Thanks so much Nicole for your incredible hospitality and especially for chauffeuring us to our restaurant and back on the evening of our anniversary. Would recommend to anyone looking for a B&B in the Sancerre area.

  Relax and Enjoy the Calm

  We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in this lovely B & B. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet and quite tastefully decorated. The proprietor, Nicole, is very happy, helpful and gracious. She prepared an amazing breakfast beside a warm fire with so many nice touches. It was an added bonus to meet her daughter and great-grandsons while we were there. Access is a little difficult right now due to street repairs all around the property, but persevere and you'll depart feeling very pleased with the experience!

  A haven of comfort

  What a find! Probably one of the most comfortable and unique chambres d’hotes we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful en suite bedroom, very quiet and delicious breakfast - fresh fruit salad, gorgeous bread and pastries, coffee served in silver coffee pot, beautiful linen and china, The house is decorated with great comfort and taste,And Nicole could not have been more welcoming and helpful, booking restaurants for dinner. It was like staying with an old friend. We were sad to leave.
