  Room not what we expected from Campanile

  The room gave the impression of neglect. We were in a room at the back, which was good on a very hot sunny day, but the general state can only be described as scruffy. There was a bathroom mirror pushed into a cupboard and holes in the wall where it had previously been fitted. The bed was very close to the wall, but we were able to move it.   Friendly, clean, comfortable.

  This is a basic budget hotel, but the rooms are a good size with modern bathrooms, good soundproofing (not always the case in budget hotels!), good showers and lots of hot water.   Good Value in good location

  Stopped here on a motorcycle tour. There is car parking available and there was plenty of room for our bikes. The rooms are clean and comfortable and relatively quiet even though the hotel is in an urban location. You can see mountains and the Mediterranean sea from here.   bathroom completely covered with mold

  We went to Chateauneuf for a wedding, the newlyweds booked several rooms for their guests. When we entered our room (room 15) we were in complete shock, the room didn't look like the pictures at all, was filthy and hasn't seen seen a paint brush for at least ten years. When we inspected the bathroom we were terrified. The bathroom was covered with mold, a massive black spot on the wall under the towel rail, the bath corners covered with black mold, the shower hose covered with mold, the shower head filthy, the toilet stained and the tiles discoloured (see pictures).We asked at the reception if we could change our room, the receptionist wasn't surprised at all and told us that he is aware of problems with mold in room 15 but refused to explain why the Campanile hotel group believes that it's acceptable to offer a room to their guests that could seriously harm the health of their guests. We got told in a very rude way that we have to pay for the room as we have used it or clean it (us cleaning a room that hasn't been cleaned for ages??). I never ever came across such bad attitude in a hotel. We got told that the hotel was fully booked. Due to the lack of accommodation in and around the village, and not to cause any further stress for the wedding community we decided to keep the room and avoid using the bathroom as much as possible by using the shower in rooms of other wedding guests.I keep this review short and don't even mention the yellow pillow, the stained duvet, the discoloured kettle tray and telephone, hairs everywhere in the wardrobe, no selves etc. You would expect the Campanile / Louvre Hotels Group to have certain standards for their hotel rooms and would never allow any guest to check into a room from hell!! alexandrel3712, Responsable réception at L'Hotel Campanile de Grasse Chateauneuf, responded to this review dear customerthank you d have taken the time to leave us a comment we do remember you but according to our memories the night of your arrival we propose to you to be deloged in a room has separate bed what you refused the receptionist you also propose to dislodge the next day and put you in a room at your convenience and we had no feedback from you

  Best ever bargin basement hotel

  Stayed here on New Year's Eve, room clean and tidy, staff really friendly. T less than 50 euros for the night for a double room, it was cheaper than a taxi to and from Valbonne where we were staying. Only slight criticism breakfast finished at 10:00 am on New Year's Day, far too early!
