    Hidden gem

    This is a bit of a hidden gem! We arrived late from nice airport around 11:30pm (I recommend to get an uber as the taxis outside arrivals try and charge 120 euro to Cannes but uber only 47 euro ) I had emailed a week before to advise this but no one was around on arrival and after calling the number at the door we eventually got access to our welcome pack and key. The lady said she had emailed us a code for the safe box outside but we never received this. Once inside we went to our room on the 5th floor with a balcony over looking the street. Yes it’s a bit tired but it was clean and tidy. Well equipt studio apartment. Bed was comfy. Ample wardrobe space and drawers. Tv, free WiFi. Cooking facilities and fridge and a bathroom. Lovely covered large balcony with patio furniture. We ventured out to find a shop but it was now past midnight so we didn’t find anywhere open we decided to get an uber into Cannes and have a drink as some bars were open late this cost 11 euros each way. This hotel is really really close the beach and a beautiful promenade to walk all the way to Cannes Marina. This took us 40 minutes to walk but a beautiful walk in the Cannes sun. Cannes is stunning so much to see and do, stroll around, sit and people watch etc. sample some amazing food snd shopping! There is a few shops near the apartments one across the road that closes around 10 ish at night called max market. Quite well stocked with drinks and bits of food etc. very pleasant staff. There is a guy who has a little pizza takeaway just outside the hotel he was so sweet and made delicious pizza for £8 euros. There is a cafe also next door selling various burgers and sandwiches. La bocca is quiet at night but allot busier during the day. If you walk to the ibis hotel round the corner ( about 5 mins ) from the hotel you can get the number 2 bus into Cannes and which drops you right by the marina for 1.80 euro each way. Takes around 20 minutes. Much cheaper than an uber there and back each day. Overall I would recommend this hotel but don’t expect the ritz. We didn’t use the pool as we were only there for 3 nights and were too busy out and about. But we did go and see it and took some photos, there is a water slide and it all looked very clean and lots of sunbeds. When in the apartment we did not hear much noise. There are two lifts. You could occasionally hear the trains passing but no bad at all. There are shutters on the patio doors to block the light so we slept very well. The bathroom has shower gel , body wash supplied. Again clean and shower good. Overall great stay and we will be back again later in the year!

    The sea is very close, and I enjoyed it. The room is big enough and the bed sheet and the floor are very clean.     The rooms should be updated long time ago,specially the bathroom.It looks terrible,I wonder,that the management renting the appartments in this condiition.
