  A Hidden Gem!

  The perfect getaway during Summer! Reception and staff are very helpful and friendly! Always willing to help! The pool is clean and inviting, the perfect size for families. The Restaurant is in a beautiful setting, morning and evening. Waiters are friendly and officiant, serving good food. A relaxed friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel. REALLY recommend this hotel for families, couples or even just a small getaways on your own!   This place isn’t a hotel. It is an appartment complex with a few reserved for the hotel. If you have kids, book the appartment and enjoy your stay. If you are a couple, this is an absolute waste of your money! Too expensive, rooms aren’t reflecting the price you pay, beds are rock hard, breakfast is too expensive too. Beach isn’t half as nice as on the pictures and the pool is tiny and old. We stayed here in June. Paese Serenu, Propriétaire at Hotel Marina Corsica, responded to this review Dear Sir, Dear Madam,We well received your comment, following your stay in Corsica, at the hotel Marina.This review remaining anonymous, we sadly donnot know all the details of your stay, but we are sensitive to your remarks.Man says each person has is own taste ; we received two diametrically opposed reviews from guests, six days apart.On the same large Mediterranean wooded park, are located the Paese Serenu residence, with seasonal weekly apartments, and the Marina Corsica hotel, for overnight stays and for customers wishing a hotel service (daily service by the maids).Our reception welcomes customers from both entities with the same smile and the same quality of service.At the hotel, our Family Suites are appreciated as much as our Double Rooms.Our 25 m2 Rooms are quite spacious for our hotel category and the general equipment is reported as practical and comfortable.The price, on our personal website, matches with any 3-star hotel in Porto-Vecchio in early summer.Some service providers, online or through agencies, may add a commission.Even if the branded and hotel quality bedding was quite recent, we added this year a memory foam mattress topper to all the rooms, to make your sleep even softer.The restaurant located on the beach suggests, for 16 euros per adult, a well-stocked all-you-can-eat buffet, including local corsican products, fruit, eggs, salty, sweet, etc. Its terrace is on the beach and it is agreable to enjoy a breakfast in front of the sea.For a less expensive service or for small appetites, it is possible, by addressing the staff from the beach bar, to order a lighter formula only.We do not claim to have an idyllic beach like the crowded tourist beaches of Palombaggia or Santa Giulia. Nature has just entrusted us with this protected beach in the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio. It is quite flat for a hundred meters and the sole is made of sand and rocky pebbles.Deckchairs and beach umbrellas, as the shower, are for our customers only. They are free and under open access. This allows our guests to enjoy a quieter beach when they donnot want to use their own cars or to order a taxi.We simply donnot understand why you reported the outdoor heated pool so small, knowing its fairly extensive round surface. It is prepared every morning and the toilets and the footbath are visited twice a day by the technical team. Maybe you went there at the wrong time ? Or may be are you used to a different kind of classical or brand new hotel?We simply hope you enjoyed Corsica Island in June.Sincerely,AlbanReception

  Fabulous stay. Relaxed and comfortable

  Excellent location. Helpful staff. Housekeeping work very hard. Reception always helpful. Rooms modern and comfortable. Be mindful restaurant is separate entity. Also a couple of Kilometre’s from town. Good views from the beach. At low tide there is a little walk to a much sandier beach to the left - towards the little tower.

  Family extended stay - not good for business travel

  Front desk staff are very nice. Hard to find. Kind of odd. Rooms very basic but clean. Get a second floor room with a balcony. No elevator. Grounds simple. Close to water and beach. Restaurant is not attached to hotel. Breakfast very basic. Not recommended.

  Lovely setting. And food ok! You won’t be disappointed

  We only ate in the restaurant- we didn’t stay in the hotel. It’s a lovely setting looking out to the beach/sea. Waitresses are lovely. Food was ok for adults. Kids menu was fresh as-well, which is a bonus (no frozen chicken nuggets!)It’s the usual expensive meal. Corsica is the same as London prices! Although I would say I’ve eaten better in London!
