    Boring apartment hotel

    rating29 Sept 2022

Worn furniture and poorly equipped kitchen. Bad garage that is cramped and only made for very small cars. The road outside the hotel is very busy and it is a risk for life to walk along the road. Bad internet. Positives are the pool area and the view. But if you can, book something else set to stay at.

Nice place but not a lot nearby without car

    rating09 May 2019

We are here at the moment...beautiful view of the sea! Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Bar closes at 9pm...no bars close by so stock up at supermarket. We forgot how many bits and pieces you need when self catering so think ahead and bring small amounts of what you will need. We’re not cooking meals as such but even if you want snacks you may want to bring some seasoning etc. Would be an idea to bring a tea towel and a cloth as there is nothing in the room for wiping the table or drying dishes etc. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but they are a bit pricey. We drove a few kilometres last night for a pizza and that was 17.50 euros each plus drinks. Gorgeous area and glad to be here but might be an idea to plan around the logistics at night. Buses don’t run after early evening and taxis are rare and pricey too. If you plan ahead then you will enjoy a beautiful location about 10mins drive from Ajaccio. Parking within the city can be tricky so we parked at Miot about a 10 min walk from the city centre and got 6 hours parking for 2 Euros. The Residence bar is open every day until 9pm and you can buy snacks from there.

    Wonderfull view of the sea

    rating07 Apr 2019

It is an apart hotel offering to those interested the possibility of self catering ( electric stove, microwave, medium size fridge, dishes sink, knives, forks,... ). Not very happy with the wall splitting the day room from the one with the sofa which leaves just a small place to get around the bed. Both rooms with large windows and balcony towards the sea. Very clean. Every day our apart was cleaned. Not at all in the night much noise due to the road in front of the hotel. The staff at the reception very kindly. Not a big parking in front of the hotel but opposite the road a lot of places to park the cars. Plenty of choices at the breakfast. Free WIFI all area around. The hotel is located around 8 km outside Ajaccio. For those intending to go in the town without the car to avoid the harassment of finding a parking place in Ajaccio or to drink in the town seen a local bus stop just in front of the hotel. ResidencesCorseDuSud, Responsable commercial at Residence Les Calanques, responded to this review Dear Guest, First of all, let us thanking you for your interest in our apart hotel. We would like to thank you by the way for choosing our property for your corsican trip. We are pleased to know your expectations were met, that you enjoyed your stay even with the road in front of property before reaching the seafront.Hoping to welcome you for an other eventual stay in South Corsica, The Résidence Les Calanques' team.

Good Location for beaches and walking

    rating01 Oct 2018

This apart hotel was part of a Newmarket holiday trip to Sardinia & Corsica and although hotel was clean it was not really suitable type of accommodation for this type of trip or clientele on the Newmarket tour. The apartments were mainly spacious but as our holiday was half board option, the only dining was in a room that could only be described as a cafeteria type place. The food was a set menu and fairly basic food. The breakfast was very acceptable and standard continental type choices. There was no proper lounge / comfortable seating area unless you sat in the lobby area and the bar closed at 9.30pm. The aparthotel would seem more suitable for families and a tour group on half board basis. Staff were in the main friendly and did their best the accommodate any issues. The location is brilliant for the beaches and for Parata where there are many cliff walks and amazing views.Bus into Ajaccio stops outside hotel so convenient to go into the town.

    Newmarket trip September

    rating21 Sept 2018

The hotel offers superb views of the sea. The room was large with a spacious balcony. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the sofa bed even worse. The bathroom had nowhere to place toiletries was dirty, we found a large ball of hair on floor on arrival. The shower was inadequate, running into a small slippery bath, which was quite dangerous, the shower curtain was dirty and stained but the worst was the dreadful smell from the toilet. The continental breakfast was fairly good, but the dinner provided was unacceptable. This was not a budget holiday, therefore we expected a reasonable standard of food. The kitchen was clearly not of a standard to prepare meals, therefore we were served catering prepared food that had been heated in a microwave or cold food. Example a few spoonfuls of cous cous on a plate, cold and tasteless. There was very little of it and no alternative choice. It was slammed down in front of us by an angry looking owner. The bar was closed most of the day and although we were told it closed at 10pm we were lucky to be served much after 9pm,
