    Stay away!!!

    rating21 Apr 2026

Stay away. The company has sub brands that allow them to hide behind “value brands” all same organization - they confirmed our reservation with exact apartment number and two weeks later simply cancelled our reservation. No compensation, no attempt to help us rebook. They had multiple similar apartments (still have) of the exact same configuration but probably did not want to honor the price we booked and gave us no option. We lost over $1000 and the early booking timing as other places we looked at prior to booking were already gone. The location is amazing just book from someone else and avoid the heartache.

    Awful experience

    rating18 Apr 2026

Awful experience. Hotel and rooms were tired and in need of updating throughout. Room not clean to a high standard. Hotel was badly laid out meaning multiple use of different staircases and corridors. Ridiculous lay out. Boot room far too small with limited seating.Had an issue with a restaurant booking and the staff were no help whatsoever. Zero customer service.

Very tired accommodation - rubbish for self catering

    rating26 Jan 2026

The accommodation was very old and tired. The reception area had a sad unused fireplace and a smell of sewage. The corridor had wallpaper hanging off the walls and when we mention this to the reception team it was stuck back on with cellotape. The apartment that we were put in (and paid a lot of money for) was spacious enough but the furniture was very old and uncomfortable, definitely not suited to spending any time relaxing in the apartment. The kitchen was tiny and there was no draining board or work surface next to the sink - just straight onto the induction hob. Impossible to prepare anything but the most basic food which was a shame as that was one of our reasons for going self catering. It was advertised as having a balcony but all the doors to the balconies were locked as apparently they are ‘unsafe’. We did complain and the lady on reception was very pleasant but she was not able to do anything other than offer us a bigger apartment at an additional premium (but of the same or similar quality). We turned this down as paying an additional €450 on top of what we had already paid for the holiday felt like throwing good money after bad. The building itself is a maze of illogical corridors and lifts. To get to our apartment we had to either take two separate staircases or lifts. To get to the ‘included’ pool or a working hot tub we had to use 3 different staircases/lifts and it involved a fairly hefty walk in cold corridors. The hottub that was in our actual building was broken (no jets) and was kept lukewarm. The spa facility (sauna and hammam) in the building was new and in good condition. We’ve rented apartments in several ski resorts before for a lower cost (La Ros, Tignes, Avoriaz, Trysil) that were significantly better than this. The specific building we were allocated (apparently you can’t choose) was Hameau de Glacier. I would avoid like the plague. It’s definitely more of a 2/3 star experience as opposed to the 4 star advertised. On the plus side, the apartment was clean and the beds were ok. The resort is well placed in the ski area although loses the sun in the afternoon and stays shady until mid morning. We were lucky with snow and weather and had a great week other than the time we had to spend inside the apartment. We booked via Crystal ski rather than direct. Perhaps that was part of the problem and the reps were not able to do anything about the poor accommodation whilst we were there. Guest Relation, Guest Services / Front Office at Pierre & Vacances Premium Residence Arc 1950 Le Village, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your stay. We are pleased to hear that you found the apartment clean, the beds comfortable, and that you enjoyed the location within the ski area as well as the snow and weather during your week.We are, however, sorry to learn that many aspects of your accommodation and building did not meet your expectations, especially given the advertised 4-star standard. We understand your disappointment regarding the dated condition of the furniture, the small and impractical kitchen layout, the locked balconies, and the overall state of the building, including the corridors and reception area.Your comments about the building layout, the difficulty in accessing facilities, and the issues with the hot tub are also noted. While we are glad you found the spa facilities in good condition, we regret that other amenities were not functioning as they should.Thank you again for highlighting both the positives and the areas where we fell short. Your comments will help us work towards providing a more consistent and comfortable experience for our guests. The Pierre & Vacances Team

Great village but the bar meant no sleep

    rating08 Jan 2026

1950 is a great location and the apartments are definitely more comfortable and better equipped than your average French ski resort but beware if you are situated close to the O’Chaud bar you will get no sleep! The bar has a DJ every night playing incredibly loud music until 2am, this is proudly announced on the animations schedule for the village so happens all the time it seems. We were glad in the end that we weren’t staying the full week….The layout of the buildings is quite confusing when you first arrive, it would be good to know in advance where your apartment is as we and quite a few others had to wander village to find our building then the corridors for a while trying to find the building reception.Again apartments are quite comfortable but rather dark and the balconies are all locked off for safety reasons which is a shame.I would return but only if I could guarantee a location away from late night bar. Guest Relation, Guest Services / Front Office at Pierre & Vacances Premium Residence Arc 1950 Le Village, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your experience, Vicki. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the location and found the apartments more comfortable and better equipped than the average French ski resort. We are, however, sorry to learn that your rest was disturbed by loud music from the nearby O’Chaud bar. We understand how important a good night’s sleep is, and we will share your comments with the local management team so they can review how best to minimise noise disturbance for guests in nearby apartments.Your feedback about the building layout and the difficulty in finding your apartment on arrival is also noted. We will look at how we can improve the information provided before arrival to make check-in smoother. We appreciate your comments about the apartments being comfortable but rather dark, and the balconies being locked for safety reasons. We will pass these observations on to the relevant teams. We’re glad to hear you would consider returning, and we recommend contacting us directly before booking so we can help you choose a location that better suits your preferences. The Pierre & Vacances Team

    rating13 Aug 2025

The hotel we stayed is was an exceptional standard. The apartment was immaculate and luxurious and very clean and modern. The hotel staff were very warm and welcoming and also very helpful. The facilities were fantastic too.Sauna, steam room and hot tub were lovely and clean and the pool was a great addition. Well located for the mini markets, shops and restaurants with a short walk to the ski lifts.Would highly recommend this hotel others.
