Location

This holiday village warmly welcomes guests in Val Thorens.

Facility

This holiday village has a lift and a reception desk. A baggage storage service, a safe, a newspaper stand, a playroom, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The souvenir shop gives guests the opportunity to bring home mementos of their holiday. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park.

Rooms

Central heating ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms can be booked. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee station and dishwasher. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a TV and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A shower and a bathtub are included the bathrooms. The complex has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

For guests who wish to keep active, tennis, beach volleyball and horse riding are available. With windsurfing, canoeing, sailing, catamaraning, kayaking and diving available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. The surroundings of the complex offer an ideal environment for skiing. Ski passes are available locally. Sport and leisure facilities at the complex include a gym and billiards. A spa, a sauna and steam bath are available in the wellness area.

The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar.

    Deposit scam, bad staff attitude, smelly restaurant

    The place kept 150 euros for 3 dirty dishes, the staff always complained when asked for things, the restaurant had a really really bad smell all the time. Customer Relations Manager, Marketing at Residence le Cheval Blanc, responded to this review Dear Guest, We would like to clarify that the additional €150 charge applied at departure was linked to the condition in which the apartments were left, particularly regarding the kitchen area, which was not returned in an acceptable state, full of trush too. As stated in our stay conditions, end-of-stay cleaning does not include the kitchen, which must be left clean by guests. We also regret that interactions with our team during your stay became particularly difficult, as mutual respect is essential for both our guests and our staff.  We would also like to note that the incidents which occurred during the stay were formally reported to Booking.com, and that several reviews appear to relate to the same reservation. While we fully respect our guests’ freedom to share their experience, we also believe that any public feedback should reflect the situation in a fair, balanced and accurate way.     Val thorens nightmare

    We were charged €150 for what can only be described as two “artistically dirty” plates, despite leaving the room spotless. Impressive creativity in billing.We had also decided to extend our stay by one day. The manager informed us we had to switch rooms — fine. So at 10 AM, we packed everything and moved out like obedient travelers. Then, plot twist: “Actually, it’s the same room, you don’t need to move… but you can only go back in at 5 PM.”At 5 PM, we returned, only to discover the room hadn’t been cleaned at all. So we basically did a full checkout, carried all our belongings around, and came back to… the exact same untouched room. A truly immersive logistical experience.As for the hotel restaurant, it has a very distinctive scent — imagine a group of people who collectively decided that showers are a myth, and you’ll be close. It’s not subtle.The staff maintains a consistently impressive level of visible despair. Every interaction feels like you’ve personally ruined their day just by existing.If you’re aiming for a great experience in Val Thorens, this is not the place. Being so well placed also means you can occasionally hear the snow groomers early in the morning, a small reminder that the mountain is already coming to life and that the slopes are being carefully prepared for another day of skiing. For many of our guests, this is part of the authentic alpine experience and one of the privileges of staying so close to the heart of the resort.     Bed rooms all open connection to living/kitchen so no privacy. Oven broken, dishwasher poor and the route to ski room: from -4 lift to 0, walk to next lift, go to +2, then stairs down to +1 to reach ski locker. Le Cheval Blanc is our three-star residence and represents the most accessible accommodation offer within Village Montana in Val Thorens. For guests looking for more generous spaces, additional comfort and a more premium layout, our four-star and five-star residences may indeed be better suited. We would also like to clarify that the residence offers two categories of apartments: our Privilège apartments, located on the piste side, benefit from a much easier and more direct access to the ski room, while the Classic apartments require going around the residence to reach the ski facilities.
