Run down 1980’s inner London tower block than

    rating21 Feb 2026

This is more like a 1980’s inner London tower block than a hotel. The bedding was stained and ripped. The room had not been cleaned properly (if at all). We found dirty socks, used lip balms, piles of dust and hair. The walls were filthy. There was smeared bloody mucus in the toilet wall. The internet wifi is non existent. The halls and elevators had graffiti. The carpets were stained throughout the hotel. The reception staff were ok but had no idea who we were when we booked in and said they didn’t do reservations (even though we booked through weski). The restaurant is good but the rest of the hotel needs to be downgraded to one star. Our locker for our ski gear was flooded due to a blocked drain. Everything about this hotel was a bad experience and we would never book here again. Guest Relation, Guest Services / Front Office at Pierre & Vacances Residence Le Tikal, responded to this review Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the restaurant and found the reception staff polite. We also recognise the seriousness of the issues you’ve described, including the cleanliness of the room, stained bedding, graffiti in common areas, lack of Wi-Fi, and the flooded ski locker. These points are well below the standards we aim to provide, and we will review them to ensure urgent improvements are made.Your comments will be used to guide changes in both maintenance and housekeeping so that future guests have a much better experience. The Pierre & Vacances Team

    Awful. Avoid.

    rating11 Apr 2025

We’ve been here a couple of hours. We’ve already had to visit reception several times to report missing items (I guess mugs, bowls, glasses and knives aren’t that important). The bath didn’t have a plug, the tap and shower head are both faulty. And now we’re waiting for a technician to appear as the sofa bed is broken so our sons can’t go to bed. Not that we’re too excited for bedtime, what with the dirty bedding provided. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Guest Relation, Guest Services / Front Office at Pierre & Vacances Residence Le Tikal, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your initial experience, and we’re really sorry to hear that your arrival has been far from smooth.Missing items, faulty fixtures, a broken sofa bed, and dirty bedding are all completely unacceptable, and we understand how frustrating and disappointing this must be—especially at the very start of your holiday. This is not the welcome or the standard of comfort we want to provide.Your feedback has been shared with the on-site team so that every issue can be resolved as quickly as possible. We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience and disruption this has already caused you and your family. Please don’t hesitate to reach out again if there’s anything else we can do to make the rest of your stay more comfortable—we’ll do our very best to turn things around. The Pierre & Vacances Team

Tikal - Yes I'd book again

    rating26 Jan 2025

Booked for skiing trip on a budget. One bedroomed apartment with a twin room and sofa bed in the living room was great for 3 people. The small kitchen area is well equipped having a hob and microwave, which I think had a grill. No oven; this is good because you are responsible for cleaning the kitchen and it is easier to clean a hob than an oven.Linen was provided. Towels were a bit small. I suggest you take your own. There is a ski locker room on each floor with boot warmers so not far to stagger back to your rooms after a hard day on the slopes. The flat has a bath and hot water was not a problem. Good if you want a soak to ease the muscles.Access to slopes is either at level 6 at the back of the building straight onto a green/blue slope, alternatively walk through Temples du Soleil to the lifts which will take you straight down to the nursery slopes. There is a supermarket in Temple du Soleil which can be reached via a tunnel next to the lift. It is expensive so we used the Spa which is 5 mins walk away; still expensive (understandable since everything has to be transported up the mountain), but slightly less so.There is a baker just up the road for baguettes and pastries and if you fancy a night off cooking La Grange Pizzeria in Temple du Soleil make excellent take out pizzas.Make sure you leave the flat spotlessly clean to avoid surcharges.Only complaints are that the sofa bed was not very comfortable and it can be a little noisy but overall very good value; genuine ski in ski out onto one of the best ski areas in Europe.

Proper ski in/out. Separate boot rooms per floor. Close to all required amenities. Quiet location.

Great location for proper ski in-ski out. Small kitchenette had everything required to provide needs for a self catering holiday.Only downside to the stay was the limited opening hours of reception, but across road the reception was 24 hours and was manned with friendly staff including all amenities you might require including supermarket, laundrette and places for eating. Also very nice spacious boot rooms which was a very nice change to the usual one boot room that is crammed with people trying to get out in the morning.Would definitely consider another visit.

    Good for the price

    rating30 Mar 2024

When we arrived we had to make the beds ourselves but everything was clean. They gave us plates, towels, cutlery and all the other stuff we needed and when we asked for more pillows they gave them to us with no extra price. You have access to a cafe and some shops through the underground tunnel at level -1 so you don’t even need to go outside. There is a ski in ski out but you have to cross roads to get across meaning you do have to take your skis off.
