Contemptuous attitude of the staff towards the guests, inappropriate hygiene standards

    rating28 Jan 2023

The good side of the residence is the location, as it is located in the immediate vicinity of the ski resort. We also liked the view of the fortress and the old town. But, unfortunately, we had very unpleasant experiences in the residence, which are the result of indifferent and unfriendly employees. Before arriving, we reserved a (paid) parking space in the garage by e-mail, and when making the reservation, we informed them that the height of our car, which has a ski case on the roof, is 210 cm. When we wanted to drive into the garage, we luckily noticed that the height was 190 cm. No one apologized to us for the mistake, which would have caused damage to the suitcase and skis. We were then told at the reception that we can park in the free parking, which is 600 m away.We experienced the next disappointment when we arrived at the apartment, which was dirty and very modestly furnished. One room had no wardrobe at all and the beds were very cheap and uncomfortable. There were very few glasses in the kitchen, basic necessities were also missing, e.g. cutting board. We informed the reception about the deficiency, but they did nothing to correct the deficiency. We experienced next disappointment when we realized that there were no cleaning products for the bathroom and toilet in the apartment, which we had to clean ourselves. We went to the reception and asked them to give us suitable cleaners. We were offered a tablet for the dishwasher and a small bottle of dishwashing detergent. So it became clear why the apartment was so dirty. Apparently, the reception doesn't even know that the bathroom and the toilet can't be cleaned well with dishwashing detergent, and the guests don't take it with them on vacation either. But the staff doesn't care how clean their apartments are.Furthermore, WiFi is not free in the apartment, but costs €16 per person. As it is extremely slow, it is better to use mobile internet. When booking, the sauna was also included in the price, but it was not working. They have "very friendly" warnings in the corridors that you will be evicted if you listen to music after 10pm. The staff doesn't even bother to clear the snow at the entrance. The residence is a disgrace to the tourism of France and the EU. I travel a lot, I have been in more than 200 apartments and hotel rooms, but I have never experienced such an contemptuous attitude of the staff towards the guests. Comfortable however checking in was a nightmare

    rating04 Jan 2020

The apartment/ hotel has good amenities eg jacuzzi and comfortable beds. But if you don’t want to be treated like cattle while checking in it’s not for you. One can only check in after 5pm when there is the whole reception full with ski bags and people. They do all by paper and since they are trying to check in vast numbers this just doesn’t work. I would advise them to just use a computer and have more of a system. Having said that the hotel is right next to the ski lift and it’s warm. They need to fix the check in also they forgot to get our ski passes from the lift which they said they would have once we arrive.

    Family ski holiday

    rating23 Feb 2019

Overall a great place due to location. However apartment is let down by poor maintenance, storage and cleanliness. The soft furnishings are filthy and only usable with blankets as a trough. We found it amusing that they took a €60 deposit for cleaning when we left the apartment cleaner than we found it. The parking is restricted due to head height and a little more flexibility from the management team would go a long way i.e. still charge the guest for parking but swap with the staff parking, limited availability but would help. Staff are generally all very pleasant and welcoming.

    Good location but very basic

    rating23 Feb 2019

Stayed here for a week’s skiing holiday. As a base to ski from it is perfect, situated right next to the ski lift and several ski hire shops. A small reception makes for long queues on arrival. The 3 bedroom apartment was spacious but grubby. The bedding was very basic with awful cheap lumpy pillows. The walls were covered in marks. The shower tray cracked, the bath panel broken The kitchen was well equipped although no oven limits your dinner options. The ski storage was the smallest I’ve ever seen in 20 years of ski holidays. Tiny cupboards with just enough room for 4 pairs of skis. Certainly no room for your boots, hence everyone ignores the notices forbidding ski equipment in the residence. Some of the ski hire shops near the ski lift offer storage, you are better off using that. The reception is only manned a few hours a day. No facilities for bread delivery in the morning but a nice Boulanger a 10 minute walk. Beware of the strangest check out process I have ever encountered. You need to make an appointment for the morning you leave for an inspection of your apartment. You must be ready to leave as soon as the inspection is over as they don’t trust you not to steal anything or break anything in your last hour!! Suggests they have an interesting clientele. The officious nature of the person checking our room made us feel like naughty school children. A cleaning charge of €100 for a 3 bed apartment is absurd, certainly no evidence on arrival that they employ the highest paid cleaners in France!

    Really slow reception

    rating26 Jan 2019

We have waited more than 1,5 hours in line to get our keys. Only 2 people were on the reception and they said our room wasn’t ready. The hotel should be more prepared and get the rooms ready once people arrive.
