Good location, dated apartment, very few amenities close by.

    rating20 Feb 2026

Good sized apartment, however, very dated. Apartment wasn't cleaned very well from previous occupant, it was quite dusty and debris in the bathroom. Kitchen equipment wasn't particularly clean either. The major issue though was the regular lack of water in the apartment. When we lost water on our second.night, we were told there was an issue with the water network which affected all apartments at 1700 and 1800 stations. In a 7 night stay we had no water from 5pm to 10pm on three nights (although we had no idea at the time when or if it would come back on), we had cold water but no hot water on 2 nights and we only had a full water supply (hot and cold) for 2 nights. Not knowing when water would disappear or come back on made the whole stay quite stressful. The location is good, ski in ski out on a short red run and you can access a green run by a 2 minute walk up the piste. There is one bar / bakery / deli / very small convenience store (Le Tomrider) under the apartments that does amazing rotisserie chicken to order on Wednesday's. There is one other restaurant (Parc Aux Etoiles) a 5 minute walk further up that does classic French mountain cuisine and has a deli / bakery. There are 2 Skiset ski hire shops at 1800. There is no other bar, restaurant or shop at 1800 that we could find. Free ski buses operate between 1400, 1600 and 1800. The Sherpa supermarket at 1600 is really good.

Good family apartments in great location - admin could be improved

    rating24 Feb 2019

We stayed in a 6 bed apartment which is a good size for a family of four. It is well furnished and has everything you need but you will need to bring or buy toilet paper, a tea towel, dishwasher tablets, clothes for cleaning as none of this is provided. Dame Blanche is perfectly situated at 1800m you can ski straight out onto the piste. It is quieter than the appartments at 1600. The outside pool is a welcome addition and heated to 30C. This is only open during the school holidays as are the navettes, shuttle buses which go between the resorts at 1600 and 1400. Fortunately our February half term was the same as the french one so pool was open and navettes were in operation. There is a restaurant beside the residence, Tom Rider, and also a place to hire your ski wear, Go Montagne. You can also reserve a car parking space if you need one. If you are not bringing sheets and towels, don't forget to hire them in advance. The reason why I did not give the apartments 4 stars is that they expect you to do an inventory of everything in the kitchen when you arrive, number of plates, knives and forks, saucepans etc when you arrive and also write a report on the state of walls, furniture, bathroom etc. You have 48 hours to do this. Then when you leave you have to do a full clean and have an inspection, plus you are expected to take your used sheets and towels down to reception. The check in process seemed quite stressful too. It took nearly 15 minutes to do and I wasn't sure why. I think both check in and check out processes could be improved - so it is less of a chore and more of a holiday. Apparently this is quite standard in France so it would probably have been the same if we had stayed in another apartment on the resort.Puy St Vincent itself is a great ski resort for beginners and intermediate skiers. It is relatively quite and has quite a number of slopes to keep you amused. It is also a great place for walking. Dogs are allowed in the apartments. I think I may bring mine next year. Now I know what a dog friendly and family friendly resort it is.

Great location, great apartment, friendly staff...

    rating13 Feb 2019

The residence has an excellent location, right next to the slopes. It's maybe inconvenient for beginners to go directly to the red track but you can climb only a few steps more and cross to the green path.We were two in a four-bed apartment. Although I think it is ideal for 2 people, it is not too small for 4 also :) Apartment contains everything you need, equipped kitchen, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster ... bathroom and separate toilet ... terrace with a view of the mountains is excellent. Each room has its own free Wi-Fi which is great. Within the accommodation there is a sauna, an outdoor pool (unfortunately we were not informed that it opens after February 10), a very small shop with a few basic things and wonderful croissants for 1e :D For biggers shopping you have to go to stores at 1400m on foot or with a free van which stops near the accommodation.Girls at the reception are very kind, too! To sum up, a great place for a reasonable price at a great location...I hope we'll come back again :)

Nice residence right next to the slopes

    rating16 Mar 2018

Perfectly located, good quality and size compared to french alpine standards. Pro: location, view, bar and grocery store in the building, indoor parking. Con: only 1 toilet in the 8/10 apartments, renovation would be necessary.

    Great apartment and view

    rating27 Feb 2016

A conveniently close to the slopes, comfortable residence. My family went and were perfectly satisfied with our apartment. It can be rather hot, but at least the clothes dry out quicker! It also came with a lovely view of the mountains, and was very peaceful.
