Pierre et Vacances La Marelle et Le Rami. Les Coches

    rating20 Mar 2022

Well where do I start?! I am sitting here in the apartment No2. Before we could do anything we have had to hoover and wipe down all the surfaces. The carpet had dog? Hair on it and crisps and other crumbs , the surfaces were sticky and had spill marks which cleaned off easily so we knew cleaning had not been done. The fridge stank of off milk mainly because there was a layer of dried on milk on one of the shelves. The fridge has no bottle holder as it’s missing probably broken. This place definitely hasn’t been cleaned. There was still linen and towels from the previous guests in the bathroom and bedroom. No linen for us still at 17:30. We asked the cleaners to come back and used a translator on Google to impart our discussed. At 7pm we got plates out for tea all but 4 were dirty not just a little dirty but almost like they had been put straight in the cupboard from use. They are as I type still with reception as we took them all down to reception and walked away. It’s not our job to clean after the previous guests. And if you are the previous guests I hope you loose your deposit your filthy. The apartment is size wise ok but it is on the ground floor facing the car park. No privacy, curtains in bedrooms really need to stay closed as people are constantly walking past with dogs. We asked if there was another apartment available but no even though we were some of the first guests to arrive. I’m not sure what it was but I feel if we had been French we would have been moved or not given this apartment in the first place. The place is dated furniture needs replacing. It needs redecorating and bringing into the present century. There are two showers one on it’s own with the toilet and one over a bath not sure why two showers and only one toilet. The apartment is for seven there is not enough seating for 6 let alone seven. Luckily we are only 5. The staff attitude is one of contempt. We have not had an apology for anything. The receptionists perked up slightly when I said I have photos. She seemed surprised. I asked her if she had heard of trip adviser. This is written on the first day of a ski holiday which has been cancelled twice we went fot a voucher rather than a refund now I’m thinking why? THIS PLACE IS NOT COVID SECURE I DOUBT ITS E-COLI OR C DIFF secure either. I expect to get my deposit back as I hand the keys back not 8 + days later. Stay tuned for further updates as the week progresses.

Let down by deposit not being returned in a timely manner

    rating04 Feb 2022

This is the third time to La plagne and we have always had a fantastic time staying with Pierre Vacances - exceptional value for money - clean and warm what more could you want? - the return of the €200 deposit would be nice - it has now been 8 days since we returned and it has still not been credited? Despite chasing daily and an assurance it was being processed still no joy?

    Fantastic Place to Stay

    rating04 Feb 2020

Lovely holiday at this ideally situated ski in ski out Residence, with easy access to the entire Paradiski area. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equippedwith a good lay out. We had the the 1 bedroom sleeps five apartment. The reception team were friendly and helpful and all spoke perfect English. Really impressed to discover we could pay for early check in, we arrived at resort at about 11am and were unpacked by 12.30 and able to take advantage of the free afternoons skiing that came with our 6 day pass. The resort of Les Coche is small and family orinetated and in a perfect location with beautiful views. The only things that are worth considering if you plan to stay at this residence is that it is only ski out if you are happy on a Red run, ski in is suitable for all levels, it is a short walk to the lifts if not, The village centre is approximately 10 minutes walk away if you need shops restaurants etc.

6th time staying, so can't be bad

    rating28 Jan 2020

The accommodation is a pretty basic apartment with some cooking facilities (microwave and hob, but no oven). There's a safe and a TV (French channels only). There are different sized apartments available - we go every year as 2 couples booking 2 of the 4/5 bed apartments. These have a double bedroom for 2 and 2 sofas in the living area, one of which pulls out to create another bed. Apartment space is very limited, as is storage, and if 4/5 people actually tried to stay in one of these apartments then it would be exceedingly cramped - it's great for a couple though. It would probably be OK for a young family though with a couple of small children. The cost of an apartment for a week is very reasonable, especially if you book early, so best to go for a size bigger than you need. There's plenty of parking immediately outside the accommodation and it is also perfectly sited for the ski slopes with a red run going straight past the building - its ski-to/from-door if you're an intermediate skier, otherwise its a traipse down the hill with your skis to the main area in the village. Les Coches gives you direct access to the massive Paradiski area, ideally situated between Les Arcs and the various Plagne areas. The Reception area at the apartments is only manned for limited hours during the day and has become noticeably more helpful and friendly over the past 2 years. Basic wi-fi is free but pretty poor - there is a premium option which costs extra but it's a rip-off as it's not any faster and internet access was very intermittent (a complaint to reception didn't improve matters in this area). Having stayed a few times now we know which rooms we'd prefer to be allocated but Pierre & Vacances in their wisdom will only allow you to select a room in advance if you pay a massive 65€ premium - very poor service for repeat customers in my view!

great location, nice place to stay, all equipped accordingly.staff was friendly, but with limited competencies. e.g. they would not help with a taxi, or with internet problems. in fact the internet was very bad, even the paid one, so beware!
