Location

The hotel is located in the heart of Lille, in one of the city's best known shopping districts. Other interesting places to discover include the historical mining centre of Lewarde and the Côte d'Opale beaches, both about 30 km from the hotel. Lille Europe international train station is 1 km away, while the nearest metro station, Republique, is just 200 m away. The shops are 300 metres from the hotel, while Beffrois, Place Charles de Gaulle and the historical old town are all around 800 metres away.

    We recently stayed at the Holiday inn express in Lille and and we had an amazing experience. We were greeted by Julia and Zar when we checked in who were both superb, like everyone we spoke to at reception. All the staff at Breakfast were extremely friendly and professional especially Antoine. Will defo be back if we stayed in Lille.     We chose Holiday Inn Express to make the most of our week’s stay in Lille. Location, value, cleanliness and comfort were our criteria and it did not disappoint.     Large modern rooms, good location

    We stayed here as part of a birthday trip and we had no issues and so we have decided to stay for another night at the end of our trip. We were welcomed as platinum members and with this we recover our welcome amenity. The member of staff at reception was polite and friendly. The room was large and spacious and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was also large and the room was clean and modern. The hotel is an a good location and many places to visit are within walking distance. With it being winter the air con does not cool the room but this isn’t an issue as the windows open which helped to cool the room to a nice temperature. The only disappointment of our stay was I messaged in advance to enquire about any birthday packages that could be added to the room or anything that could make the stay special for a birthday trip and I was told there wasn’t which is a shame as other hotels offer something.     Was slightly worried that the reviews shaky for this hotel but that was unfounded in our experience. We had a twin room…small but good clean & comfortable. Decent beds with clean crisp bedding. Large flat screen tv. Good shower. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Plain unsweetened homemade yogurt, homemade apple purée. Cold eggs/ham/cheese, excellent scrambled eggs, lovely crusty baguettes, croissants etc. Some cereals…cornflakes & muesli. Good coffee machine. Fruit juice machine. Cold water machine. All well stocked. Served in large seated area opposite reception and food kept well stocked. Perfect.     Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, good value and room was a good size with a lovely shower. Well located for walking into the old town and visiting attractions such as the Palais de beaux arts. Would definitely use again.
