    The staff were very welcoming, polite&.helpfulThe rooms were spotless and well kept.I love that it had a bath and all the amenities you need.The hotel was decorated in a very pleasing well and was always neat and tidy.Breakfasts were tasty with plenty to choose from in jams, fruit, yogurts, cereals bread and croissants.teanand coffee and fruit juices.Highly recommend as very central but quiet.Easy walk to sights an eurotrain station.     We loved this hotel. It was beautifully decorated with its own distinct warm and welcoming character. The location is perfect. We seemed to be in the middle of everything worth seeing. I chose it because I guessed it would be authentic and very French. The things that pleased me most were that our double room was both very practical (double door to the bathroom) and very nicely decorated. We overlooked a courtyard so it was very quiet. I loved the youthful energy of Lille and intend to go back. I would always stay in this hotel.     The hotel is perfectly located. Literally 5 min to Lille flandres - another 5 min to Lille Europe. Turn right and you’ll see the cathedral, turn left and you’ll be at the grande place. The room was comfortable if on the small side with some bulky useless furniture (like a cabinet which served no purpose and a desk you could not use as the double bed took most of the room). Shower was fine. I missed a kettle to make tea and coffee. I didn’t try breakfast. Reception staff varied in friendliness and competency - one told me that was no hair dryer when there was one! And wasn’t very good at communicating either. Another was very friendly and shared useful information too.     This hotel is lovely - the artwork on the walls, the location in central Lille, comfortable beds, helpful staff, art deco bar/breakfast room, delightful ambiance - it surpassed all our expectations.
