  lovely reception team on arrival. Room spotless and comfy just a bit odd no milk or regular tea bags. Good shower and plenty of hot water towels and toiletries.Dinner was good and well priced and breakfast had a good plentiful selectionI did find it unusual for staff not to be in uniform and a bit confusing if you needed to find someone. All the staff where great but the 3 gents on the bar one at lunchtime {thu and Frid} and 2 in the evening thursday and friday. These guys where exceptional. Im partially sighted and they helped with menus , sorting out the loose change had helped when i got in a muddle with my bank card. MASSIVE THANKYOU Its close to the town and the shops and restaurants and stations . Good all round

  Short break to Lille, France.

  The hotel was booked as part of a short break EuroStar package. The hotel is near to the shops and restaurants. It’s about a five minute walk to Lille Flanders’s station or 10 minute walk to Lille Europe station(EuroStar). The staff were most helpful and not being fluent in French we got by. The bedrooms and general areas of the hotel are clean and well maintained. We had breakfast (20Euros), at the hotel that was good and a good selection. For my Wife breakfast tea availability would have been nice.Recommended to visitors at this 4Star hotel.

  The hotel is really central, and in easy reach of the main town, stations and old town. As a solo female traveller I didn't feel safe on the street going to and from the hotel, so solo women be aware - it's dark, there's an underground carpark nearby and I got hassled a few times. Obviously not the hotel's fault but worth bearing in mind.The man on the front desk who checked me in and out was lovely. Staff at the bar were nice. The restaurant itself is average. No condiments offered beyond the salt and pepper on the table, and hard rolls given in a paper bag, with no butter or oil. Clearly a hotel policy rather than the staff's fault.The housekeeping and room really let things down. After 2 nights and multiple uses (to be sustainable), I left my towels on the shower floor to be replaced, as is customary. I'd used one hand towel for drying off my hair so wanted a fresh one for hands and face. When I returned that evening, both towels had been slung over the towel rail, still damp and with my tell-tale eyeliner on the hand towel, so I knew they hadn't been changed. The toilet being separate to the bathroom is fine, but not having a sink in there isn't. Surely it makes sense for staff to check that the permanent toiletry dispensers have enough in them for a person's stay. I was there for 3 nights and by the morning I left I had to use shower gel to wash my hands because the soap dispenser was empty. Shower gel was only accessible by stepping fully into the shower, too. The dispensers have labels on so it's not clear how much is in them, which is why staff should open and check when preparing a room. How little soap must have been in the dispenser for it to run out so quickly? My room had a small sofa bed. I didn't need to use it, which is just as well because the positioning and lack of space would have made it impossible. The sofa had noticeable big stains on the seating area cushions. When leaving, I saw bathrobes and slippers outside in the hall. I didn't get these, despite having joined the membership scheme when booking (although I received an email at a later date suggesting I become a member, which I did, so it looks like I might not have received the members' rates, which is annoying).For the price, and for a hotel advertising itself as 4 star, I'd expect the room toiletries to be better stocked, the room to be in better condition and a clearly wet and used hand towel to be replaced, not just picked up from the shower and slung over the rail. Disappointing and poor value for money.

  A nice hotel near everything

  This is a very nice and clean hotel very near to both major train stations and Lille centre. We literally walked in after a disappointing AirBnB experience, and asked for vacancy and prices. The service at the front desk was very good and friendly, and we decided to stay for as long as there was room. I would say that the price was about average for a 4 star hotel. The hotel was going to be fully booked so we had to move out to another hotel but that’s not the hotel’s fault. The room itself was clean, maybe a bit worn here and there and the bathroom was a little dated but the nights were quiet and we slept really good. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant the last morning. The buffet breakfast was ok, some highlights and some not so much.All in all a pleasant experience thanks to the wonderful staff, would definitely stay again if needed.

  Hotel done on the cheap.

  A hotel that charges a great deal but provides a cheap service, the restaurant is very basic,and so is the bar area, the rooms are okay, but not worth the price, it is a long walk from the Eurostar and very disappointing, there was a coach party on our visit and it was chaos in the restaurant and bar.
