  Just needs a deep clean.

  The location, price & staff were perfect, all the place needs is a deep clean. On the surface it’s clean but little things like removing the water marks from the taps, marks from the shower & toilet, would make a huge difference. Also the lino (yup it’s that kinda place) could do with repair in places. Just to let you know the rooms look bigger in the photos.

  I had booked a room at the Sejours & Affaires for 9 nights. I arrived around 9pm, but the door was locked. I had to wait for a "resident" to come in so I could follow them in. There was no one behind the desk, and I stood there approximately 5 minutes before a young man appeared. I was given my room key. I spent ten minutes in the room. There was no rug. It was freezing in the room and I found no way to turn the heat up. The bathroom was the size of a closet. The TV did not work. The ducts for the heating were visible on the roof. The walls were stained. The bed had one blanket on it, and one in the closet. Both were the same as one gets on an airplane. I should have taken a picture but I was not thinking about writing a review, I was tired from my journey and appalled that I had spent money on a room that was not as inviting as the dorm room I had lived in while serving in the Air Force.The picture they show on their website is NOT what the room was like that I had been given.I sat on the end of the bed and was about to cry when I figured I was not obligated to stay and so I did not stay. As I said above, I stayed for maybe 10 minutes and left.

  Decent family room - 2 kids shared a double sofa bed. Kitchen area meant we could save money by prepating our own meals. Shower curtain rather mouldy and crockery in cupboard wasn't clean, but otherwise the room was clean on arrival. Good location, close to Lille Europe and 10 minute walk to Old Town.

  Bed Bugs in Room 811

  We stayed in Room 811. We arrived at ca. 8.45pm and having dropped off our items we went to the shopping centre to get items for the room. On our return, Reception was closed. Although a decent size, the room was generally grubby with a stale smoke smell and cigarette burns on the sofa and floor.At ca. 10.30pm we noticed a bed bug on the shower curtain and then found a further 2 in the bedroom. We packed our things and left immediately, finding a room in a nearby hotel.We returned at 9am the next day to return our key, report our concerns and seek a refund. The Reception remained closed and we were directed to the Office across the corridor. There were 3 people in the room, and none looked or sounded surprised when we told them of the bed bugs. We were told they could refund the city tax but the refund for the room would need to be processed through the booking platform.Despite asking, none of the staff members would give their names. When no refund was forthcoming a couple of days later, we contacted the booking platform who said the hotel was denying the refund and that the booking platform would only offer partial payment as a voucher against future bookings as a good will gesture. Only after escalating to the Customer Services supervisor did we finally receive refund in whole.It is not just the poor quality of the room, but the way in which the hotel agreed to refund then later refused that made this such an unpleasant experience.

  I am so disgusted, my son and friend booked in for 2 nights.Check in was 3 to 9pmMy son had asked about a later checked in time for 10pm which they had agreed, and conformation email was send.When they arrived, they were told that they were late,as check in was before 9pm,so explained and showed email,but still wouldn't let themSo at 10pm at night with no where to go and never been there before...i/we have never had this problem at any hotel...
