    We stayed 2 nights during the Olympics. Good train connections to Lille.Excellent restaurant. Nice and quiet room.

    Worts hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Locked out of the hotel because of faulty outer door. The hotel is unmanned on Sundays wich they don’t tell you. No staff to contact. Waited hours to get in. The rooms, food and staff aren’t worth a visit!

    For business I travel a lot, mainly to the big chain. How nice is it than to stay in a real French Hotel with superb food.I had a super experience and will be back for sure whenever I am in that region.     Cosy Comfortable hotel but.....

    The Auberge de Forgeron is a lovely, old style hotel. Rooms are cosy and comfrotable, although somewhat compact. The Breakfast buffet is good and the Restaurant very good.Now for the but.... The hotel is deserted on a Sunday. If you venture out, and you will have to if you want to eat, make sure you note the Door entry code written on the top of the Key fob. I checked in on a Sunday, was not told about the Door code, and did not see it until I had spent a very frustrating 45 minutes trying to get back in to the hotel, booked another Hotel for the night and walked the 2km there. The taxi back to the Forgeron cost me €40 because it had to come from Lille. Overall a bad start but I enjoyed the rest of my stay.     My stay was very short and I had a "special" departure time but the staff did everything to be flexible. The room is very clean and the bed very comfortable. Dining in the brasserie is perfect as the choice is rather large and the food quality very good.
