    I do not recommend

    rating16 Oct 2025

Room was "clean" but didn't feel like it. No shower door so the bathroom floor was flooded at every shower. No surprise there was a little bit of black mold here and there. Doors were SO noisy, slamming constantly on the whole floor. Only one electric plug oddly place in the room. And the smell... the smell ! The room smelled like sewage thanks to the sink and shower drains. They pretend to be environmentally-friendly by not changing the towels everyday, but they do change them, no matter where I tried to hide the towels. The breakfast was good. The staff at the breakfast and the reception was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The complete opposite of the staff at the restaurant/bar.

    Welcome back to 1980

I’m traveling around the world a lot, but my experience with Ibis hotel this time was very shocking. My room 427 was very basic and didn’t look clean to me ( i hope they Did change my bedding, but floors definitely was not clean, I wake up in the middle of the night i stand on very sharp object and was finger nail , next morning i found another 5 of them, room windows so dirty and not very well sound proof, was nice surprise that Shower had very good pressure, but around toilet paper hanger was not clean and above the door was big splash of the brown liquid and never clean . Now let’s go to the breakfast place, was so basic and poor choice two types of process sausage and two different cheeses and was standing two cooking pots with scrambled eggs and mini cocktail sausages and so over cooked bacon and so many times you need to wait to be topped up ( cooked ) but I was surprised that they had 4 different types of juices and nice selection of bread and excellent coffee if I will stay again - I don’t think so for that amount of money for 3 nights 470 € and still can’t figure out how much was for room, how much for breakfast , i seen so many people was raving about location - very busy and noisy all day in the weekend and at night so many delivery scooters running around to the mini supermarket

    Passable for solo guests.

Really only suitable for solo travellers on a budget; as other reviewers have mentioned, the bathroom is separated from the bedroom by just a curtain, and there's also a thinly-frosted glass pane between them, so almost no privacy. Plug sockets are located in very odd, inconvenient locations. There's a tiny space for hanging clothes behind the unsightly TV unit on the wall. The room temperature was fine for me, but I visited in cooler spring weather. The shower wasn't terribly powerful.Bed comfortable and clean, and room service was very efficient. The hotel is close to Antigone tram stop but it's strangely positioned at the top of a steep hill, and not in a particularly attractive locale; the first thing you see upon exiting the hotel is graffiti on an adjacent wall. The front desk staff are lovely, and helpful.Basic, clean and cramped; if you're not travelling alone, look elsewhere.

    Nice staff grotty hotel

    rating21 Sept 2023

Title says it all to be honest. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the location is great very close to the historic centre of Montpellier and to be fair the towels were fluffy!. The hotel on the other hand needs a renovation. Grotty, dark, dank and in need of some serious love. The laminate floor in my room was all rutted, the curtains had holes in them, the walls were covered in mysterious marks. There is no ensuite bathroom, its just in the corner of the room. Apparently there is meant to be a curtain but my room 517 didn't have one, and there is no blind for the small window in the bathroom area, so I was woken up early. There are lots of hotels in the centre of Montpellier so would strongly advice you to book somewhere else

    Awful night

    rating07 Jul 2023

The lobby area is OK and the location was good. The room was small and a strange shape. There was paintwork missing. The room was on the highest air con setting but still too hot which made sleeping really horrible. There was an uncomfortable chair by a small desk. The electrical sockets were in stupid places where you couldn’t reach them. The shower area was very small. The shower cubicle was small and the shower was efficient but despite positioning it in the right direction the floor was completely soaked. The breakfast was average with some choices but not brilliant. Boiled eggs needed more cooking than was stated and the bread was not nice. I had a cold and asked for some tissues for the room before I went to bed but they refused to give them to me. I do not recommend this hotel.
