  So Much Potential!

  First, one would never think that such a big hotel would close at 20:00 on a weekday, but it was going to. I don't believe I had received any email or notification in this regard, so it was quite by pure chance that I arrived before 20:00. At 20:00, the doors close and unless one knows the code, one can't get in.Plenty of free parking before the hotel. And this hotel (as opposite to many others) had lifts!It was quite inconvenient to have to carry a real metal key and not a weightless plastic card, but this was the way it was.The reception people were very helpful, including printing a few pages for me.Wifi was good and fast.The room had a fridge and a kettle.The big problem with the room though was that really strong sewer smell. I had to keep my windows open at night (thankfully, the weather allowed for that) to counter the nauseous odour. But having done that meant that I had let a mosquito or two inside.The room was relatively clean, but could use a little renovation.It was quiet, which is typical for a suburb.

  Really disappointing stay after a long drive. Pros:- Friendly, welcoming staff- Quiet, effective air-conCons:- Really unpleasant smell of damp and stale cigarette smoke throughout apartment- Outdated decor and plastic/uncomfortable furniture- Noise from adjoining rooms- Toilet next to kitchen- Very poor value for money

  Fine appartments outside Nantes

  Stayed here for 4 nights during a business stay and the apartments do what they need to. It was nice and clean, bathrooms etc are fine. The interior is very simple, nothing on the walls and only one lamp that was not on the ceiling. A tad more on the devor would suffice a higher rating I think.   In the hallways you feel the smell of cooking and cigarette. The carpet is in a very bad state. Poorly stored bed without supervision. Outward appearance leaves to be desired. The permanent occupants dry their clothes on the balcony of the hotel. The mattress is wider than the base. I called the Standard Reception. But she's just sorry. We have to wait until Monday morning. You no longer know if you are in a hotel still 3 stars or in a sheltered refuge. You pay when extremely expensive compared to the quality and condition of the hotel.   We arrived past their check-in time so no one was at the reception. We collected our room key from a safe with everything we needed to know explained on a sheet of paper.Room was clean and sufficient. Wifi worked OK. Bathroom and kitchen were clean too. Beds were of good quality and we slept well. There was a fitness room but it was closed during our stay.When we left the next morning there was no one at the reception either since it was a Sunday.
