Decor & neat design. Very warm welcome, the receptionist on hand quickly found a solution following an error in the choice of reservation.Visited in FebruaryOLDEGAR (owner)2 months agoThank you very much for this great review, we are delighted that you enjoyed the universe of Oldegar!Between the decor, the musical atmosphere, the bar-dining area and the welcome of the team, we really try to create a hotel in Nantes where you feel good on arrival, whether you are traveling with family or solo. Also happy to have been able to find a solution quickly during your reservation, the reception is there for that. And being at the foot of Nantes station, while remaining calm, is clearly one of our great assets.Looking forward to welcoming you back to Oldegar!Caro 56Local Guide·44 reviews·18 photos7 hours agoNewHolidays | CoupleRun away from this hotel. There are so many on Nantes, cheaper and more respectful. We had booked in February. We went directly through their website because it is more advantageous for hotels to go through them than through Booking. We asked for parking and a bathtub. We arrive late after our flight, around midnight.A lady was waiting, dissatisfied, she did not have a room that she had reserved. We should have understood.Half a parking space cluttered with various and varied objects, lucky we have a Clio.Because with an SUV, it wouldn't have been the same.At the front desk, you have to pay when I paid online.I do not understand the amount, that of the welcome neither....In the bedroom, no bathtub.I come downstairs to tell her, she tells me that there are no more, that everything is reserved. The amount paid bothers me, I look at my emails and invoices to understand.'Cause I've settled well.I'm going downstairs to get an explanation. She tells me it's day tax, but it's not even €2 per person per day, while I paid a lot more. And now she's telling me that a room has vacated with a bathtub. But it's after 12:30, poor people who were sleeping on our floor. We tell him that we have washed and that my husband is already in bed.She doesn't say serious, the housekeepers are here tomorrow...So we change rooms. And the second night, at 4:04, a couple came into the room.I screamed and they very scared, they gave him our room. They could've come home.I couldn't go back to sleep. They searched together or an empty room.I wrote several emails without seeing any replies, except with the negative review there I got a feedback. Nice concept but lots of things to improve... Too bad.

Great disappointment for this hotel but the quality of the welcome is exceptional. The person who took care of us and the multiple worries related to the hotel was very involved in mitigating all this. A big bravo for his kindness and professionalism. Unfortunately this does not make up for the disappointment of our stay. The rooms are far from those in the photo. Especially those adjoining the terrace. We know this because we have had to change several times...Another point, the parking must be booked for 18 euros which we did not know. So there's no solution like we thought to park. For the 1st chamber the magnetic card did not work. We had to go back to the front desk several times to get one that fit. Then we went back to a room that was already occupied. Not nice and big discomfort... Eventually we got a new one but this one had a defective TV (half screen) and non-functional air conditioning/heating. Not great yet this season...We found a new room but the lights were broken and hung at the end of its wire. To also review this paradox: a nice sign humorously reminding the importance of not consuming too much water in the shower... But next to a tap that drips constantlyNote however the positive point regarding the cleanliness of the premises. In the end: more than an hour and a half of waiting and disappointment to finally be able to land Originally submitted in French on www.tripadvisor.fr. I love the concept of this hotel very well located near the North exit of Nantes station. Quiet room overlooking courtyard, with just what you need and super comfortable bedding. Plus a small lounge where you can listen to vinyl on the headphones and a varied and delicious breakfast. Small problems with the magnetic card for colleagues. For my part no worries but I know that it was painful for them. Thank you for the glass of wine that was kindly offered to me to enjoy, and offered by the house. Very nice and welcoming staff. Modern and friendly design. Warm and "funky". I visited one of the super concept “wagons” for a passing family or a we with friends on a small budget. Thank you 🙏 Originally submitted in French on www.tripadvisor.fr. View originals.

    Anger!

    rating04 Mar 2026

Hello,I stayed one night at the Oldegard Hotel because as stated on their website it says accessibility and PMR “committed to accessibility”1st discontent, the elevator! I describe to you, the button to open the door is too high for a person in a wheelchair, the door too heavy to open, and surprised a very small space, my knees touched the wall and the door had trouble closing. Fortunately my armchair is small size 60 cm deep, I could still access the floor. Imagine a taller person with the armchair that goes with it or an electric chair! How does she stay out all night? A few centimeters away and our stay in Nantes was ruined!2) Access to the bedroom, the door is too heavy, the bed too high 0.60cm (the height of the sleeping surface must be between 0.40 and 0.60cm), no seat for the shower! You don’t have to do big studies or ask specialists, just put yourself in a situation, sit in a chair and imagine different disabilities that can hinder mobility. It is rapped for comfort and autonomy, that is what is indicated. But here’s the talk we’re doing but the rest doesn’t follow, unfortunately we’re faced with it every day as soon as we leave home. Another concept that navigates trendy values, conviviality, ecology but nada inclusivity. And again I only talk about my personal case not all the different types of disability.I wonder how approvals are obtained! To ask if someone is checking, it must be enough to tick boxes on an administrative document for it to pass. I have already had some unpleasant surprises but here is the pompom! So I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for wheelchair users, it’s ***** shit. Nothing to say about the staff, he was very sorry about the situation, I only hope they traced the problem to who rightly.RegardsSylvie Le Calonnec Originally submitted in French on www.tripadvisor.fr.
