    Beautiful location, fantastic views and excellent restaurant

    The Auberge du Poids Public is an excellent choice for a short holiday in the Haute Garonne region. The location is great, the hotel seems to have undergone a recent refurbishment and is clean and modern - I loved the shower! The rooms are of a good size and the one I stayed had a fantastic view of the countryside. Staff was very attentive and helpful and the quality of linen and toiletries is good. I loved the dinner, which offered a combination of regional dishes and haute-cusine. I also enjoyed the breakfast which provided good variety and very good quality. Not surprisingly, the rooms are very quiet and silent, which was great.     Beautiful setting

    I have been here numerous times when visiting the area. Each time my friends and I eat from the Menu Du Jour which is very good value. Yesterday we had swordfish to start which was perfectly cooked and seasoned, really delicious. The main course of beef was again perfectly cooked. One slight criticism here was that we all had bits of gristle served but it did not spoil our enjoyment, although some might be put off by that. The dessert was rhubarb in jelly which again was delicious. We had a very nice bottle of pale rose to accompany - perfect at lunch time. The setting is beautiful, with tables on a terrace overlooking the valley and hills, really delightful! It is all shaded so even on a blistering hot day it was very pleasant indeed.Overall would highly recommend for a very civilised relaxing lunch with well executed food and a stunning setting.

    Fabulous views from this outdoor covered terrace. On a steamy hot day 36 degs. The automatic sprinkler was a delight. We only required a light lunch so the chef prepared us a salad with an assortment of vegetables. It was delightful. Service is seamless and old fashioned in its attentiveness. Good wine, lovely cheese. Altogether a charming experience

    Wonderful old village with magnificent views over the countryside and large rooms with modern showers etc. Food is excellent and very good value. Staff are very friendly, helpful and very professional.

    The room is lovely, beds comfortable and bathroom excellent. The views from our room, the dining room and the breakfast room are superb. The restaurant is quite formal, but the food is good with amuse bouches etc. Service excellent. The menu is small, so we ate there only one of the two nights we stayed. Staff all round were great. Breakfast is excellent, with mini croissants and chocolatines so you can eat both!
